Yes, watch every lakers games and i get pissed off seeing him missing lay ups and free throws. This is the guy who got a body that any basketball player dream of but he didn't use it to his advantage. If i were him id use that 6'10 frame and long arms to get inside , pump fake and draw fouls then go to free throw to earn easy points. Odom is lazy and only choose to play when the right moment hit him. He's was never consistent for more than 2 games and therefore i think he's replaceable
Luis Scola, Tayshawn Prince, Sheed if he's still available, David West, Amare Statoumire, Antoine Jamison, Al harrington, etc to name a few. These guy pose more as offensive threat than Odom imo.
i give him the rebound and run the floor part but the he was never consistent with any of the other three skills you mention. I bow down to Odom in real life if he can score 20 points from the paint in a given game .
Hey if he take a pay cut that's great but yall are hyping him up too much. I remember almost all the Lakers fans in the season thread all voted to trade him during the regular season and early in the playoff. Now yall think he's as valuable as gold

You honestly expect Lamar to put up 20 per?If you watch so many games as you say, then by now, you should've realized that that's not his role on our team. We got Kobe and Pau to do that....whatwe need from Lamar is all the other things that he does which, has been mentioned here over and over.
Yes he's maddeningly inconsistent at times, but we won 65 games, and the championship, with him being our 3rd best player right? He's the perfectcomplement to Kobe, Pau, and Drew. On top of that, he stepped up when we needed him the most - during the WCF and Finals.
And then you compare him to the guys you mentioned above?I can breakdown each of those guys games and although some of them can score more than LO, none of those guys has a diverse a skillset as Lamar has. I wouldn't eventrust any of those guys to start a fast break for us except Tayshaun (and on this not, if we replace LO with Tay, do you honestly think Tay can hold his ownagainst PF's and even some C's?).

I just came up with this thought. The Lakers are taking their time with the signing of Odom as a form of leverage. We must remember that the Lakersorganization is a business and Dr. Buss has been very good at that long before acquiring the team. If we sign him immediately, we pay top dollar for hisservices and Dr. Buss pays well into the luxury tax. If we wait it out as they are doing now while other teams scramble to sign people and stay competitive,the Lakers gain the upper hand. How so? San Antonio has signed Jefferson, Orlando has signed Carter, the Celtics have signed Wallace and no one is willing tosign with Cleavland long term because of the uncertainty of where James is going. As teams fill their needs, what teams are left? Small market teams with anunlikely chance of getting past the 1st round. As a player fresh of a ship living in one of the most beautiful cities in the nation, would you be willing totake more money to move to Portland? That's why I think the Lakers are waiting. Am I wrong on this?

Once again as far as LO goes its going to be a long summer. I don't think the market is too hot for a player who is VERY inconstant even though he doeshave all the intangible skills.
Right now it am prepared either way. But somebody said it if we don't have LO we can still win a chip but it would be VERY VERY hard.

Before the movie came out and when the 2nd trailer was released, I replied in a thread jokingly that at the end of the flick Optimus Prime getskilled off. I even said I was joking and said I havent seen the movie yet. But still a mod on the general form banned me after a few posters in the threadstarted crying.
