larry bird said he was disrespected when a white man was tryna guard him

"As far as playing, I didn't care who guarded me - red, yellow, black. I just didn't want a white guy guarding me, because it's disrespect to my game"

Before the 3 point contest, he asked the other participants "which one of you mother ******* is coming in second?"

After he easily won and got the check, he said his name had been on the check all week.

Because NFL and MLB officiating is the exact same.

Collegiate football and basketball, same thing as well.

Tennis umps

Boxing refs....
Erroneous.

You don't regularly watch sports.

Only logical conclusion I can draw.
You caught me. :(

:lol :lol :lol
I mean, I know it's not true. That's why I threw it out there.

But I am truly perplexed.

Why? Well, because of everything else I said in the reply that you just quoted, everything after my sarcastic beginning.

This is, it's not true.

You tellin me strike zones are the same, for every ump? For reals?

You know there's holding on every play in the NFL, but they don't call holding every play, so is that not balanced officiating?

Getting a safe or out call is one thing, having a pitch called a strike and putting you in an 0-2 hole is the same as collecting a foul. You still at bat, you can still play with the foul. You're just at a disadvantage to your opponent now.

It's the same thing. And there are over 250 pitches per game, sometimes even 300. Ones put in play, or fouled off, easy. Ones that cross the plate, are up to the umps discretion. And not every ump, calls the same strikes. Just as not every ref, calls the same fouls. It's personal, human, judgement. Therein, flawed, on ALL sides, all sports.

LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling most hated man in America: poll - New York Daily News http://q.gs/7Caxv

That's quite an accomplishment, Donald. We have some pretty bad people in the U.S.

Foolish...no way the clips are worth 1.7 bil. Sterling would be crazy to turn that down. 700 mil- 1billion tops...

This has little to do with money and lots to do with pride. The man was near death a couple years ago. This team is really all he has left.

The ABA tried this the last couple years of its existence. Every foul after the 6th was two shots and the ball. It was a disaster. Dudes were averaging like 10 fouls per game. It slowed it down to the point it was unwatchable.
Good point. The last thing we need is even MORE whistles and stoppages of play.

Players just fouling to stop ANY layup or easy shot attempt.  No thanks

First off, the offer is reportedly $1.8 billion. Second, what YOU think the Clippers are worth, and what a crazy, basketball obsessed billionaire will pay for them, are two completely different things. Did you not see how much the Bucks just sold for? THE BUCKS!

There is only 30 NBA franchises in the world. Only a handful of those in a major city like Los Angeles (whether they share it with another team or not)

Bottom line, the team is worth what the highest bidder is willing to pay for it...

Right. And keep in mind the people bidding for the Clippers have like $20 billion+ at their disposal. They can pay $2 billion in cash and barely notice its gone.

Exactly. Trash franchise or not (and the Clippers are not), it's a franchise. There are only so many opportunities to own one.

One of the basic rules when selling anything is that the item is worth as much as the people are willing to pay for it.

Kind of like when Ye was selling those 100 dollar white tee's and I was trying to tell people that they were 100% worth that much.

That's why I just smh when people on here whine about resellers.
