2013 College Football Thread (Realer than Real Deal Holyfield -->S/O Craftsy)

Cause we'd want to see a team that rallies around a UGA reject or the fashionistas from the Pac-2

Sounds like a good reg season game, but that won't ever happen with those 2 soft aaa programs

Oregon would work your overrated squad, Cardo. Hell, Florida's gonna work your overrated squad later this year.

smh at your girlfriend, Jada.

 @ Gurshall lmaoooooo
oh and some top defense Florida st has :rolleyes yeahhhhhh rightttttttt...we would wash them

I think everyone is just looking @ the final score and not the #'s in that FSU/Clemson game

From there, FSU went on a 35-3 run that flipped the score to 49-31 in just 16:25 of game clock, dominating in almost every facet of the game. E.J. Manuel found Kelvin Benjamin for one rampaging catch-and-run to set up one touchdown; Lamarcus Joyner's 90-yard kick return set up another; Manuel threw for 63 yards on the next touchdown drive, and completed a perfect fade to Rodney Smith for the score; James Wilder stormed through Clemson's winded defense to set up the fourth TD; and after a fumble broke a string of consecutive touchdown drives, Nick Waisome's interception set the 'Noles up at the Clemson 27, and Chris Thompson took one carry to punch in FSU's final touchdown of the night.

The carnage: Florida State ran 26 offensive plays for 298 yards during that span, averaging an unearthly 11.5 yards per play, eclipsing a second half that was staggering (39 plays, 341 yards, 8.74 yards per play) on its own. That offensive eruption overshadowed the 'Noles defense shutting down Clemson's phenomenal offense (during the run: 20 plays, 28 yards, 1.4 yards per play allowed; during the first half: 39 plays, 253 yards, 6.5 yards per play allowed), and showcased the depth of elite talent at virtually every position that Florida State has, something that should help the 'Noles hang with anyone in the country.

And to add to that Clemson connected on a number of trick plays from the wr pass, fake field goal, and screen play where the ol didn't move, and scored on one late td where the game was out of hand..had FSU not missed two field goals, and given Clemson great field position inside the 20 on the muffed punt the game could have gotten uglier
Oh, Jesus Christ man. FSU won the game. Clemson had a lot of missed opportunities, "maybe we should've kicked it out of the endzone or squibbed it and Joyner wouldn't have returned it 90 yards" "Clemson should've just picked up the 1st down on 3rd & 3 from our 40 instead of getting cute with a WR pass, we could've gone up 28-14 before half"...all of those what ifs or referring to fakes or trick plays like they didn't actually happen and FSU didn't have an opportunity to stop them is corny.

In the end, FSU's lines, overall talent and adjustments won the game.

Considering how much Iowa pays Ferentz I like to think its a lot more than "it's just Iowa". I mean they've been in a steady decline since 2009 & the talent looks very devoid there. They have more 7-5 & 6-6 seasons than actually competing for the conference title since they topped out in 2004.

If they have any kind of expectations then I don't think Ferentz has the top spot as long as he wants it.

Basically lol

Morris pulled some **** out and we were unprepared for it. They were in a position to make plays and Clemson did while the defenders didn't for a while there.

Esp that 1st TD, ******g DC didn't even get the call in  :smh:

I hope you enjoyed watching Notre Dame and Michigan play on Saturday night because there won't be many more matchups between the two teams.

Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick notified Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon that Notre Dame was cancelling its games against Michigan from 2015 to 2017. The schools were required to give the other three years notice as part of their scheduling agreement.

"The decision to cancel games in 2015-17 was Notre Dame's and not ours," said Brandon through Michigan's Twitter account. "We value our rivalry with Notre Dame but will have to see what the future holds for any continuation of the series."

When Notre Dame announced it would be joining the ACC as a non-football member but playing five games a season against ACC teams, it was only logical to wonder what would happen to Notre Dame's relationship with the Big Ten. With the school wanting to keep its annual game with Navy, as well as its games against both Stanford and USC, scheduling all three of its Big Ten rivals became tricky for the Irish.

By ending the deal with Michigan the Irish now have a little more flexibility on the schedule. And though the rivalry between both Notre Dame and Michigan has produced quite a few memorable moments in recent seasons, Notre Dame's rivalries with both Michigan State (75 meetings) and Purdue (83 meetings) have produced more games than the 39 times the Irish and Wolverines have met.

Oregon would work your overrated squad, Cardo.

While Oregon surely could win (though its not a guarantee) they'd still run into the same issue that they have run into the past couple years. Elite, SEC DL's eat those Oregon OL's up and those mammoths in the Middle @ UGA are gonna shut down all that dive/veer stuff that Oregon loves to run.

NOTRE DAME OPTS OUT OF ITS SERIES AGAINST MICHIGAN

:pimp:

To hell with Notre Dame.

Have to think that Michigan State is next. I could see them trying to keep the Purdue game as an ACC "non-conference."

Although weaker, keeping Purdue makes sense, it's an in-state "rival".

They should rotate the two Michigan schools, there is no way they are dropping the two California schools. They will have a footprint in Florida with their five game ACC schedule.

Michigan rivalry will resume in 2018.

ND needs to schedule 7 games outside of the ACC right?

they wont take stanford or USC off because they want the west coast recruiting, wont drop navy because u can play navy anywhere and sell out and ND wants 1 off site game a year. and they want to play a game in texas every year now.
