I don't think Charlotte was "tanking" necessarily they just sucked

Openly tanking teams this year:
LA,NY,Philly,Minny.

I think it's gonna work out for 3 of those 4 :smh:

I loved Vonleh coming out. From what I know, he's been hurt all year like Jabari, Randle, Embiid.

Everyone was on Vonlehs nuts.

What happened? Injury? Too raw?
too much hype on last years draft tbh.
So you're saying... Tanking didn't guarantee very much success from last years draft Huh?

Interesting :nerd:
View media item 707459

5. Jordan Clarkson, Los Angeles Lakers (6)
Kia Nominee: Jordan Clarkson
He has a chance to finish in the top five among rookies in four categories, needing a small push to move up one spot in assists while holding his spot in scoring, shooting and free-throw percentage. The rise the last three months has reached to where the No. 46 pick is at 14.9 points in the 30 games as a starter, the most among the Lakers in that time. The last 16 moved him high on the list of candidates for Western Conference Rookie of the Month.

10. Tarik Black, Los Angeles Lakers (10)
Black Hammers It
He is at 7.9 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 52.2 percent in 11 games since being reinstated as the starting center, the kind of solid production that earned a Ladder spot earlier in the season with the Rockets and got him back on the list a week ago. Rebounds are his thing -- Black will probably finish third among rookies, behind Noel and Nurkic, not bad after going undrafted and especially not bad at 18 minutes a game. Taking advantage of the slightly larger role in the offense in L.A. compared to Houston is a nice touch, though.

Lakers formally waived Nash.

Signed Jabari Brown for rest of the year, also read it's a multi year deal.

doesn't really move the needle in either direction. probably dirt cheap and not fully guaranteed. good for him tho and it might help clarkson develop with a good friend at his side

Lakers have really great value at 3 positions. Low cost, potentially high impact players. Clarkson and Black are definitely at least solid NBA players. Brown can be a knockdown shooter at least. Plus we can waive sacre. Kelly has guaranteed money next year \

Kelly is 11&4 on 57% TS since being moved to the 4.

Sooooooo he's moving in the right direction.

so at current prices we can pay for 9 jordan clarksons for the price of one useless nick young

it almost seems like drafting players is a great way to get cheap labor

We could have signed 9 different guys to be our nick young, an inefficient chucker . You don't say?

If Brown's on the Lakers' LVSL team, they could have Clarkson/Randle/Brown/Black/[T5 pick]/[HOU pick]/[own second]/[Clippers second] there.

Brown can be a knockdown shooter at least.
Jabari can be a three-point specialist if nothing else. Scores in bunches and gets to the rim surprisingly well for a 2-guard his size. Doesn't have the best handles for a SG and gets lethargic on D.

In short, is he worth the NBA roster spot? Yes.

Edit: Feeling nostalgic, "Clarky" and Jabari were fun as hell to watch at Mizzou. Only reason the Tigers won 23 games last year. Brown's highlight reel dunks and Clarkson's relentless dribble penetration.

Looking like he got some of his swag back. Bruh was a nervous wreck most of the year. I wanna see the guy who put kd in the popcorn machine before the season's up

Like not even player development? Because I was kinda looking forward to that. If I've got a team and I can have Kobe's & Nash's influence on incoming newbs... yes, please.
