There literally isn't a bad move possible.

Other teams probably see the same thing.

So let's say the Celtics and Lakers both offered Chandler 4yrs/40 mil on July 1 and rockets don't match.... who gets him, does CP get to choose?

He has to pick which offer sheet he wants to sign.

Cant sign anything till the 10th.

How is randle > haslem? Im done.
:rollin pure comedy. Haslem hasn't even been decent for a few years now

Exactly

He's basically a loyalty mascot for the Heat, they're like look how loyal we are even THIS guy is still here :x

Tim Duncan looked like he hopped in a time machine whenever Haslem checked in the game, he's straight BBQ chicken status at this point.

Theres the catch.  Just because you offer it July 1st doesn't mean anything if he cannot sign until July 10th.  By July 10th Lebron and Melo will already know where they are signing.

Offer Chandler.

Offer Bledsoe.

Both teams are waiting for Bron/Melo and won't match.

Both teams let their guy go to us at their max, we're done with a core of Bledsoe, Kobe, CP, Randle, C.

Good enough to lose in the 2nd round for 2 years, then try to replace Kobe with Durant, who plays the same position as Parsons, and 1 year before Randle is due for his first extension. With the added issue of Bledsoe being an injury concern, Kobe's age, and Randle's foot.

A literal ton of stuff that could backfire on us.

And it could still leave the door open for Melo to go to Houston, orrrr, Bron and Melo go to Phoenix with Dragic, Plumlee, Len and all their draft picks on low, manageable contracts, plus 2-3 more first round picks next year to backfill their bench.

Other than all that, it's a solid idea. Force their hand, maybe give us a young asset or two, and pray for good health and Bron/Melo to stay out East.

Isn't it clear that LeBron isn't leaving South Beach at this point? Everything that needed to happen for Miami to keep LeBron did happen.

I would say that if Melo, LeBron pass...

Go after just Bledsoe.... Don't stretch Nash. Have about $20mil in cap space for 2015.

Always was his most likely spot... But it's not a given.

I'm kinda surprised we're legitimately discussing Bron coming here , that's like a powerball long shot yeah it's possible but c'mon that **** ain't happening.

Melo maybe and I doubt that too but Bron to the lakers :{, we gotta better chance of getting Bynum back and him playing an entire season.

It really is mind blowing that LeCramp coming to our franchise this summer has even been mentioned.

If anything in the NBA had a negative percentage chance of happening that would just about be it.

Well looks like we're meeting with Melo next week face to face according to Marc Stein.

Melo will meet with half the league face to face.

Same as Bron.

Same as Dwight.

Due diligence.

Well actually he's only scheduled to meet with 4 teams outside of the Knicks as of now. Bulls on Tues, Rox and Mavs on Wed, and us next week.

Yea but those teams were the only ones really mentioned in the 1st place to have a legitimate shot...so Melo really is meeting with "everyone" that can get him

the more that i think about it and well read about it, signing bledsoe is starting to look a lot more like a priority better to me. its a guard dominated league and the dude is young and can actually defend. if we miss out on LBJ and to an extent Melo, i dont mind trying to sign bledsoe and keeping Pau.

everyone knows ive always the wanted lakeshow to keep Pau, but signing bledsoe and him actually staying in front of opposing pg's will make a huge difference in Paus game.

I think Pau and Randle would be a terrible fit together, based on what I've gathered about Randle's game.

Pau might be one of the best bigs on the market (arguable), but he's a bad fit for what the Lakers have and should do. Unless, of course, they're tanking.

I'm cap ignant, so I don't know what we can get. Is it basically we can get one Carmello or Lebron type player or two Stephenson's / Bledsoe type players?

Depends on how much discounted money they leave. If Bron maxes out, can't get Melo. If they both take discounts, we could stretch Nash and squeeze them in.

The way I'm looking at is WE ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT GETTING LEBRON, which leaves us stuck with Melo. If that's the case, I'd rather go with two players like a Stephenson and a Bledsoe. Melo has like 3-4 more years playing at the rate he is now, so I'd rather not go after him.

Melo alone, or Lance/Bledsoe still leaves us without a title.

But if I had to choose, I agree, Lance/Bledsoe over Melo.
