2014 NBA Draft Thread

LOL ya'll dudes swear ya' know something that the Cavs front office doesn't.

All arguments end up back around too "it doesnt matter bro, cleveland is a ****** city and no one will ever go to vacation there".

Pull the hate all the way out your blood :x..

Waiters is not a "beast."

And plenty of people thought that pick was dumb at the time. No need to be so defensive about this.

i honestly dont see how the waiters pick is bad in peoples eyes. He not bad at all

I'm not defending a damn thing.

They just had reasons for their picks. That's what I read online and heard.

Like I said I don't agree with all the picks, but at the end of the day it happened.

NBA is just giving the Cavs a few mulligans :lol

No one is defensive bro. I'd admit if he was garbage. But dude plays with heart and is a beast. There's literally nothing you can tell me otherwise, unless you watch him as much as I do.

He averaged 16ppg, 3apg and 3rpg - coming off the bench. Came in 2nd place for 6th man of the year. These are facts.

Where are your facts?

Ooohhh he scored 16ppg as a volume shooter on a bad team? Damn those are some serious facts.

There are dozens of NBA players who are not good and can and have done that. A talented chucker would at least be getting 19.

Animal Thug i can see you view on Waiters & in comparison to guy's Jeremy Lamb , Terrence Ross or Austin Rivers :lol he was a fine pick

But i didn't like the fit with him & Kyrie Irving playing style or personality wise from the jump

Thought the Cavs should of pick Andre Drummond or at worst pick Harrison Barnes

Thank you for agreeing.

What's so shocking here?

Valanciunas has been irrelevant since being drafted. And no one seen that coming from Drummond.

Noel is frail body, wasn't ready to play right away. And Embiid has back problems.

What exactly are you "damning" about?

:lol I know it's your nature to be defensive about anything Cleveland related, but there were a lot of people high on Drummond pre-draft. I definitely was. He was the #1 player in his class for a reason. He was a physical freak and literal giant. Waiters is a undersized, inefficient chuck. He's a poor man's Jamal Crawford ceiling wise. We knew this, and I was a big Waiters fan.

Noel wasn't ready to play right away, but Bennett sat all year. What exactly is your point there?

My point is you're no expert when it comes to scouting and drafting NBA players. 8 other teams passed on Drummond. So he wasn't the guaranteed best talent, when those who get paid and are professional scouts passed on him 8 times. Your argument would hold a little weight if he were picked right the Cavs did, but he got pick 4 slots later because no one knew his true skill value.

Just accept the fact that the Cavs have loaded up talent with their draft picks, and were going to continue to load up talent. Accept it, and walk away.

14 PER, 50% TS, 99 ORtg, 111 DRtg. These are also facts.

He's a 6'3 1/2 chucking SG who's a liability on defense. He can play with all the heart he wants, he's not someone who actually helps win basketball games.

I can say that Kyrie is the only player the Cavs drafted that everyone knows will be good for years.

Waiters and Thompson have shown spurts. and Bennett is just Bennett .... who the **** knows what's going on with him.
