2014 NBA Draft Thread

Y'all acting like doctors ain't going to do every test possible on his back.

Haha of course they will, but back problems are back problems man. nagging. annoying... plus he is a 7 footer.

Not saying he won't go #1 and be great because he very well may be the pick and be amazing, but it's still a concern even if the docs say it's ok for now.

Something's not right in Utah. They seem to have all the pieces but nothings working. You can't go wrong with Exum at 4 though and move Gordon to the SF spot.

Damn, my guy Exum going from LA potentially to Utah, the struggle.

But yeah, Utah had that log jam of great big men but now they have a lot good young talent, just need coaching and a perimeter guy who can get his own shot (Exum).

Burke is going to be a good pg, still like Gordon, Burks showed flashes, Favors is my favorite player on the team and I haven't lost hope on Kanter.

I like Corbin though, maybe it's just cause he was the darkest person in Utah but idk I always got a good vibe from him and the players seemed to like him.

Just like Greg Oden got every possible test, right?
Pretty sure he was red flagged, but the Blazers still picked him.
That's the point, sometimes your body just fails. Not saying Embiid will, but some things you just can't help. I mean the best example of serious injuries going right is Baron Davis. He blow out both knees before he got the league and still did well.

Good. Hopefully it's like that throughout NT and they miss the leaked pics, sneaker info, discount codes and links I provide. The hate on NT is why I refuse to post the KD 7 pics.
bruh. dont hurT us KD fans in that thread. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING.

POST THEM IN THE 6 THREAD.

or PM them to me

DeJuan Blair has no cartilage in his knees and he still got drafted and is still getting them checks. Jared Sullinger had back problems too.

I'm curious to see how McDermott is going to develop

Could be the next Adam Morrison. Or best case scenario Kyle Korver.
If I was Cleveland Id take Wiggins in a heart beat. Embiid's back and him being a center would turn me away from taking him #1.
For some reason I feel Exum will take a long time to mature into a starting PG.
Marcus Smart will surprise people.
Jabari will be good straight out the gate.

I hope Noel turns into a beast so the cavs can regret passing on him too. Go ahead pass on embiid as well

So you're comparing Embiid to DeJuan Wagner and Jared Sullinger? You're off to a great start.

I do agree that everyone's body is different but certain injuries are more cause of concern than others.

The lottery process was done in public in the '80s and people still cried conspiracy, with the Ewing pick the obvious example.

People will never be satisfied. The process is still done in front of team reps and media members. U can fit a conspiracy storyline around any team that won anyway.

Eh it wasn't the same though, they just had the envelopes not this convoluted ping pong system with these combinations. I don't know it, would at least ease some of the people's minds, in my opinion.

The public Lottery Ball situation was the most transparent and seemingly fair... That Ewing draft was the shakiest :{
