2014 NBA Draft Thread

Tyreke Evans with a jumper a good comparison for Jordan clarkson?

That's a little too much, lets remember Reke was 20/5/5 as a rookie even though his team sucked, really like Clarkson but I don't see him doing that in the most ideal of situations.

Big PG's though. :hat

Evans doesn't seem to have the mentality or the mental fortitude to live up to his potential. Perhaps even a lack of dedication. I think the injuries really derailed him too, things were coming easy it seemed when he first came into the league and maybe he got content

From the highlight video I watched of Clarkson, he plays nothing like Evans

Jordan Clarkson is a fake point guard.

Comparing him to Tyreke is crazy, reke was 40 pounds heavier with a giant standing reach, 8'8 vs 8'2.

Other than being fake point gaurds there are no similarities.

he's a second round pick.

Yea I'm still confused by Reke, even this past season he had that stretch during the where he was damn near a triple double threat and getting everything he wanted.

I woulda never thought he would peak as a rookie, granted he was in a bad position in that Kings organization but still, dudes jumper been broke for years.

Who are the other prospects that aren't being talked about like Clarkson?

I still like Johnson from Arizona even though he had some terrible games in the tournament. Seems like a glue guy

Love Johnson athleticism/defense/body but I'm cold on everything else about his game.

Mediocre pg skills, mediocre handle, bad shooter.

I feel like Nick Johnson could be a more athletic George Hill at the next level.

Semaj, Capela, Payton, Micic, Markel, Spence, Stokes, Jabari Brown, Birch, Kane.

Zach LaVine would be the #1 pick in the draft if Chris Grant was still GM.

Just based off those dunks in that vid.

Nick Johnson doesn't possess the offensive ability with the ball that George Hill does...and that's saying something because George Hill isn't all that by any means.

I don't think Nick Johnson will ever be a player that'll be able to play on the ball sufficiently in the next level. Which sucks because he's a bit undersized to play the 3, but that's what his position should be based on his skillset. If he can improve his shooting he could potentially be a more athletic Tony Allen with a jumpshot. (Even though TA used to be a great athlete, especially at OK State)

I see a poor man's and shorter Doug Christy while he was on the Kings in Johnson. He gives me that do it all type vibe but you can depend on him defensively, he needs to improve his perimeter shot to stay in the league

not to take anything from LeVine bounce but i noticed hes at Santa Monica gym, if anybody here has played in that gym you know that floor is bouncy as hell.

i was putting my elbow in that rim during layup line when i played there.

LaVine would have that bounce in quicksand.
