2014 NBA Draft Thread

What's Dougies ceiling?

Best case scenario ?
IMO he is the latest Great White Hype...from Bobby Hurley, to Christian Laettner, to Hansbrough, to AmMo, to Jimmer, now Doug. The first thing anyone brings up when you say is that he scored a record amount of points, but they leave out that the offense was tailored to him as the coaches son. NBA offenses aren't going to do that and he looks really slow on his feet and unathletic so it's not a stretch to question whether he can defend or create his own shot against NBA athleticism/speed. Personally I don't see it.

Doug nicer than all them tho.

Don't think he's going to be a legend. But if Wally Sczerbiak made an All Star game...I'm putting Doug down for a few

Id love for the Bullies to trade 16 & 19 to move up for McDermott. ..assuming we keep our picks.

Hindsight is 20/20...Jimmer got tons of hype and Laettner got picked over SHAQ to be on the Olympic team.

Of course I could be wrong but to me McDermott looks like a potential bust. Steve Novak, maybe.

yeah that rim looks really short for some reason lol.

the thought of him, MCW and a healthy noel is gonna be a scary trio for the 76ers.

I feel like I can hear Bill Simmons' voice towards the end of the video

assuming this is the secret workout he was alluding to

If JE is healthy, you have to go with him as the #1 pick.

Is it a risk? Sure. But the benefits behind him if he pans out make the gamble worth it. Game changing and championship level defense potentially, combined with what appears to be an extremely fluid offensive arsenal that should expand? It's almost a no brainer.

Seems like Embiid is at least decently healthy. Tough to get much more out of a video like that other than he moves much more like Dre Drummond or someone along that line rather than Hakeem who was cat like.
