I'm not sure if this is factored in, but a lot of AAU and HS teams buy team shoes that are a different brand from Nike UA. Adidas, etc. I would think it makes things cheaper. When I was in HS, my team was sponsored by And 1 and we had one of the best teams in the state at that time
So, I'm sure a lot of the sales may be from that given Steph is one of the best in the game and apparently the shoe is comfortable. At least that has to be the reason its selling so well because I never seen them anywhere else
The Footlockers and Champs out here are starting to feature the Curry's pretty prominently. Carry multiple CWs and also have large displays of them right in the front of the store.
BTW, how those Harden Adidas doing? Selling well too?

Also, the reason you guys prob aren't seeing the shoes being worn anywhere is becuase they are being bought by kids in elementary school, middle school and high school.

That's true, but I'm sure if you ask most high schoolers about Harden and Curry, more of them would be fans of Steph. The only reason my theory came up is because I've seen quite a few AAU and HS basketball teams wearing the UA brand. You rarely see teams nowindays rocking Nike sponsered gear because its more expensive. Maybe the high end squads that have the funds to buy it

I think UA is only second to Nike in grassroots basketball right now. The UA Association is a huge deal.

I think in general, nike's pricing has gotten out of hand. The kobes, lebrons, and air maxes are all very expensive. Its like they go on sale a few weeks after they are available for purchase. I think Nike thinks, they can get the extra $ from the people who want them very badly. So they post them for crazy prices, and the people who really want them, buy them. Then they put them on sale to make people think they are getting a much better deal (when that price is usually the price the should have sold for in the first place)

The man is bigger than the shoes. He rarely plays, doesnt have any marquee individual performances this season to sell the shoes, and gsw has kind of dominated everything NBA related, and he's played in huge regular season games, has huge regular season and finals performances over the past year or so, so throw those things together you create the perfect storm for steph to overtake not only kobe but everyone else on there as well
Plus I love the Curry's, especially the lows. Really dope looking shoe
