He said in his postgame presser "They were pouring champagne on me and I was like 'Champagne is for championships.'"

Yeah, it looks like they are pouring champagne on you to me. :lol

So fake and contrived. :lol

lmaoooooooooooooooooo

i know you cracked a smile when he hit 60 tho. at the very least, that furled brow loosened up, and a twinkle hit that Darth Ska eye that reminded you how you felt when you first saw kobe play (its ok if you started hating him the 2nd game :lol). It it warmed your soul and sent you down memory lane once again of all of your favorite Laker moments and renewed your love for the purple and gold despite all of the struggle we've had these last few years. These was some magic last night. Something special was in the water. Felt like Chick was in the building once more.

Only thing that would've made the night better for me as a fan...If I could've watched it on the Laker network and been able to hear my guys Bill McDonald and Stu Lantz call Kobe's last game. That would've made it perfect for me. When dude checked out, I teared up though. Not ashamed at all. I'm sad to see my dude go.[/quote]

Gordon Heyward with one of the classiest gestures of the night last night went largely unnoticed.

At 59, shooting one final FT, Heyward stuck his foot into the lane, just in case. Had Kobe missed, woulda been a line violation and allowed him another attempt.

Class move by him. All the way, class move.

It's cool and all going out with 60 but really spraying champale after you won 17 games? No wonder that franchise is doomed.

Newsflash: most of us on the objective side didn't give a damn about y'all "well, actually" replies and wack *** negativity. We just watched and appreciated a dope night of basketball.

I saw that entire Celtics vs. Heat game earlier in the evening. It had the largest comeback for a W this season, and Celtics held the Heat to a franchise record low FIVE points in the 3rd Q. 5 points! Won after being down by 26! Guess what though, any other night it would be the headline story, but it was a footnote to history taking place at Oracle and a spectacular event at Staples. Just an overall great night for the league.

It's also one of the cool things about sports. The ability to bring different people together for great moments and events. We got a double dose last night and I'm glad I was able to witness it all.
Facts.

****** in here legit mad that people enjoyed the performance.
Just like in politics and religion, the people who agree with your side are stating facts, those with opposing opinions are clowns spewing drivel.

fact: he got 60 point

(fans: "Damn right! BEAST MODE!)

fact: he took 50 shots

(fans: "STOP WITH YOUR NONSENSE! Just focus on the first fact! Can't appreciate greatness!"

Completely ignoring the fact that it is a FACT that you are refusing to focus on and another fact you are choosing to praise.

Or just shows how little the Jazz cared about this game. It was still a one possession game at that point.

Jazz by 20+ if Rockets lost earlier
