Newsflash: most of us on the objective side didn't give a damn about y'all "well, actually" replies and wack *** negativity. We just watched and appreciated a dope night of basketball.

I saw that entire Celtics vs. Heat game earlier in the evening. It had the largest comeback for a W this season, and Celtics held the Heat to a franchise record low FIVE points in the 3rd Q. 5 points! Won after being down by 26! Guess what though, any other night it would be the headline story, but it was a footnote to history taking place at Oracle and a spectacular event at Staples. Just an overall great night for the league.

It's also one of the cool things about sports. The ability to bring different people together for great moments and events. We got a double dose last night and I'm glad I was able to witness it all.
Facts.

****** in here legit mad that people enjoyed the performance.
Just like in politics and religion, the people who agree with your side are stating facts, those with opposing opinions are clowns spewing drivel.

fact: he got 60 point

fact: he took 50 shots
agreed

these are both incredible FACTS that both should be appreciated equally

No. Trying to bring down a positive night (probably most important regular season NBA night EVER) by downing everything is just plain being an *******.

You don't gotta go around trying to cast a shadow on everything and make it less stellar for other people who happened to enjoy themselves and enjoy the experience.

You don't go to a wedding and interrupt everyone that's incredibly happy just to say they met each other at a one night stand or that one of the wedded is cheating on the other. Just let the damn moment be the damn moment and not try to ruin everyone's happiness.

They're both facts, but being that guy that's simply trying to throw dirt on something, just why? There's no point in just tryna make something less enjoyable or memorable for others by being all negative yknow

It's not the situation, it's the player.

Honestly doubt anyone will have anything negative to say if something similar happened to Duncan, Wade, or Dirk.

But those 3 players aren't as self-centered so no. :smokin

fact: he got 60 point

(fans: "Damn right! BEAST MODE!)

fact: he took 50 shots

(fans: "STOP WITH YOUR NONSENSE! Just focus on the first fact! Can't appreciate greatness!"

Completely ignoring the fact that it is a FACT that you are refusing to focus on and another fact you are choosing to praise.
haters want to hate , lovers want to love............

that's the difference though, kobe put on a show and gave everyone an unforgettable night of basketball

duncan is going to end his career playing 32 minutes and the center position, scoring 8 points and grabbing 6 rebounds and no one will care at all.

we all love the NBA because it's entertainment and kobe is the greatest entertainer the game has ever seen

He said in his postgame presser "They were pouring champagne on me and I was like 'Champagne is for championships.'"

Yeah, it looks like they are pouring champagne on you to me.

So fake and contrived.

lmaoooooooooooooooooo

i know you cracked a smile when he hit 60 tho.
Nnnnope. I was disgusted at how much hype was building and how drunk everyone was; EVERYONE. Missed his first five shots and people were still excited. Hits 3s at the end and everyone excited. Literally, he could have done FAR worst and everyone would have still been excited, on some, "I'm just gonna cry myself to sleep now" vibe. The excitement wasn't because it was a stellar performance; the excitement was there because people wanted it to be exciting.

Oh, it took me back to when I was first introduced to Kobe, for sure. Reminded me of everything I can't stand about him and couldn't stand about him and got tired of hearing from his fans EARLY.

Wait, my love for the Lakers has never faltered. Ever. Let's clear that right on up. Kobe is NOT the Lakers. There was a Lakers long before him, there will continue to be afterwards.

Yeah, alcohol. Everyone had to have been drunk, high, or both.

The hype was created, and eaten.

why would lebron team hopper james get something like this. part of the reason that makes the kobe thing so special is the 20 years one team scenario

. sorry but lebron wont get as much love  as kobe does.

my man......

Same.

The Bos/Atl series could go either way. I think the Pistons will even steal 2 games from Cleveland.
I think Detroit probably has the highest upset chance in the playoffs.
They're a good matchup against Cleveland. Especially when Cleveland is in terrible shape with 0 chemistry.
