We have been hearing for the better part of 2 decades how a player coming to the East or a team improving will shift the landscape of the power between conferences.

This is the best the East has been since I can remember, and it still hasnt happened.

Thunder missed the playoffs without Durant. And Russ very well might not be there either.

Missing the playoffs with their max contract guy being hurt and out is not the same thing as the existing Thunder roster with $20M to spend to bolster their roster.  They will still be a playoff team without Durant + $20M to spend.  Would probably be a top 3 team in the East with those circumstances.

Everyone know Pat wants a chance to AGAIN to throw those rings on a table to showoff, I mean Lebron I get but Dragic too? Plus Spo is the only coach in the East I would trust. BUT MAN, I don't know if KD wants to hear, "Oh you had to copy Lebron and go to Miami?" And you know Miami will just be counting down the days until KD leaves them. Plus Pat has to find a way to give Hassan a max deal because Hassan is getting a max deal from someone.

I was thinking i can see KD waiting a year and then him and Russ bounce together or giving Billy another year. But when you look at it, the fact they didn't keep Harden and then you fired HIS coach after a year which him, Russ, and the whole team faced injuries last season, like KD's team has decline.

The only thing I can see why he stays is because I go back to when his first 3 playoff appearance losing against, year-to-year to Kobe, Duncan, and Dirk I felt like he wanted to be on that level with those guys. Stay with one team and make an impact.

Other than that. How can you trust Presti anymore? Amihn talked about if the Spurs are in play. Why mess with the student when you can mess with the Master? I feel like SA is the spot. But how can he look at these other team and feel like yeah they have a shot to win now.....

Link also says the Pistons and Jazz should get new logos next season too. I'm pretty sure the Jazz are just switching from the mountain logo to the jazz note logo though.
