LAC is stuck with their cap situation, right?
Yessir pretty much, even with the cap going up.

After next season though JJ / CP / BG / PP (if he comes back this season, he'll retire after this one i'm sure) are all up so the team could look drastically different after this upcoming season, freeing up some potential cap space.

However their situation isn't terrible. If they can somehow retain some combination of Rivers / Jeff Green / Cole / Luc / Wes Johnson then they should be fine. They really were very good last year when healthy. Best team in the big 3 era for LAC for sure.

I can almost guarantee that they'll re-up Jamal though, which I'm not thrilled about at all.

My only concern if I'm the Clippers is any sort of slip from CP3 and JJ. They should feel great about their roster makeup after seeing the Warriors struggle. They've proven they can hang with any team when healthy.
Agreed. They depend so much on JJ, who's had career years back to back. Was one of the best two guards in the league last year. But he and CP are both over 30 and there' s only so many elite years that CP has left. Was incredible for them last year.

Tony Parker is not the player to give high usage to anymore he even knows it.

well yeah I agree with that.

I thought you were insinuating that they were going to trade him or something. Spurs could definitely benefit from a reduced role w/TP.

2017 offseason is really the Clips time.

As good as they were last year with everybody healthy I still don't see them beating OKC/GSW/SAS as currently constructed.

Jamal money should be going to Austin, love Crossover but he's like 36 and Austin is better at he gives you + can actually defend.

By then we may be talking about blowing them up... this next season may be their last as a core

Not going to say that The Clips have the Spurs number or anything like that, but they've played the Spurs incredibly well over the past two years. I for sure think they could beat the Spurs in a series currently.

I don't expect GSW or OKC's rosters to look drastically different but i'm a fan of continuity and chemistry so I'll see how their roster looks come opening night or w/e to determine how I feel about them.

As presently constructed though I don't think the Clips can beat GSW or OKC in a 7 gamer but that could change, especially w/the potential roster turnover that could await GSW.

@nickmaz96
I vote to start a new thread for the Offseason instead of keeping it here.

Main reason is for search purposes in the future.

In my past experience it helps when I want to search something from 2 years ago about the Regular Seasaon, that I can type in "NBA Regular Season 2012" and it's there.

If I type in NBA regular season 2012 but the title is changed to "Offseason THread 2012" or whatever, it just makes it a mess.

Just do a new thread, for a new part of the Season.

OP of this thread should make a poll

It's unfortunate he now has to be the 2nd unanimous MVP winner and not first ever

Lol at him having a Twitch. Appreciate him holding it down for the nerds.

Ain't the Pistons suppose to be getting new unis for this upcoming season?

i read on sportslogos it was a no go but i don't know why they would update the logos without a new jersey

I'm really curious of the Warriors locker room dynamic next season.

In all likelihood, Barnes is coming back and will likely be the highest paid Warrior.

There is absolutely not a chance in hell that Barnes or Ezeli are Warriors next season

Unless they're getting Durant, they won't get anyone better than Barnes more than likely. Can't just let him walk for nothing.

Ezeli, it'll depend on the offer.

I'd be shocked if Durant does anything other than a 1+1 deal with OKC.

KD is not going to the team that beat him in the WCF's...thunder had them 3-1, why the hell would he go there?

Warriors have no chance at KD
