Didn't know they had that rule change where they can reverse a targeting call, but happy about it none the less. It was a big hit but clean

He launched into the head and neck area of a defenseless player.

You slow brah? It was shoulder to shoulder, exactly how you are taught to throw a block. There really was barely any contact to the chin if any at all.

Did they reverse that because they're allowed to review if a player is to be ejected? That's a weird situation because a score resulted

It's not necessary to throw a shot like that on a defenseless player. If they really are worried about player safety, that should be a flag.

Ok ok, minimal contact to the head/neck.

Still not necessary to throw a block like that at a defenseless player.

He was in position to make the play, he was not defenseless. Defenseless would be if he was standing there lollygagging around and just got popped out of nowhere. If you are in position to make a play and involving yourself, you are not defenseless. Keep your damn head on a swivel.

your supposed to have your head on a swivel at all times. If you don't you get cracked just like that. I'm sure anybody that's player organized football has got crack backed before at least once don't lie lol

Still here bro, think your jimmies have been rustled.

Taken from the rules article you just posted.

Defenseless player—a player not in position to defend himself.

Examples (Rule 2-27-14):

A player in the act of or just after throwing a pass.
A receiver attempting to catch a pass, or one who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a ball carrier.
A kicker in the act of or just after kicking a ball, or during the kick or the return.
A kick returner attempting to catch or recover a kick.
A player on the ground.
A player obviously out of the play.
A player who receives a blind-side block.
A ball carrier already in the grasp of an opponent and whose forward progress has been stopped.
A quarterback any time after a change of possession.

He wasn't throwing a pass
He wasn't a receiver catching a pass
He wasn't kicking the ball
He wasn't returning a kick
He wasn't on the ground
He wasn't out of the play
It wasn't a blindside block
He wasn't carrying the ball
He wasn't a quarterback, and there wasn't a change of possession.

Oh, that wasn't a blindside block? Ok LOL

It's just funny that you type out a long paragraph on how he's not a defenseless player...

And one line in the rulebook just flat out says you're wrong.
