Pretty good deal for the Pads, and supposedly they're not done yet. A couple people I've talked to in the organization said signing Shields doesn't mean they're out of the running for Hamels, it just won't happen right away and hopefully the asking price will go down. Theyre trying to dump Quentin and Maybin still too.
