In thinking about Hamilton, I wonder if the fan's death (when he threw the ball) weighed heavily on him?
I honestly feel like Hamilton has not been Hamilton since that fan died.  It HAS to weigh heavily on him.  In spite of it not being his fault, how could it not?  He has to think to himself that if he threw the ball to any other place in the whole stadium, that guy would be alive today.

When I heard about his relapse, the fan's death was the first thing that came to mind.

For a guy already dealing with addiction demons, who knows what was going through his head in the aftermath of that death?

Feel AWFUL for him and hope he can get himself better.

^

I was wondering the same thing. Josh was told that it was none of his fault. His heart probably disagrees. Like dland said what if he threw the ball further. The 'what if' thing always sucks. I hope he finds the strength to get back up again. I pray for him and his family.

Sunday night baseball games go pretty fast
I feel like they take forever, maybe they don't

Red Sox / Yankees feels like it a slow death.
I'll agree w/ this.......their games are slow on any national network

edit: forgot about that fans death.....terrible thing to have to go through while dealing w/ addiction

No chance.  They have already started talking about enforcing the strike zone exactly how it is written in the rulebook (letters to bottom of knees).  They will absolutely NOT make the zone smaller.

Oh

Ok. Well then. I stand corrected. However, there was a ton of discussion about enforcing the zone more to the rulebook wording, which was thought to improve the pace of play.

Just giving you a hard time cause that news was so recent lol

IIRC, they've been talking about trying to eliminate the low/below the knee strike and bring it back up to the knee.

Right, but they were also originally talking about starting to call letters.  If they did that, you can kiss offense goodbye.

Can you imagine a 97mph Kershaw fastball at the mid chest being a called strike?

Steve Wilkos from Jerry Springer is on MLB network today. What on god's green earth is this crap? lol
No idea.  Maury Povich was on there the other night too.

MLB Network has always been far superior to NFLN and the NBA one.  Hopefully they are not trending in the other direction with this ish.

They probably had Maury and Steve on because most of the reporters, analysts, and other contributors are either in Florida or Arizona for spring training.

From the snippet I heard from Ortiz, I'm in complete agreement. I don't even care about the pace of play, but if it's all geared towards the hitters then it just reminds me of what the NFL been doing to make the game more offensive, just to a much lesser degree.

Pitchers are the one's, more times than not. Circle the mound, play with the rosin bag, take off their hat to wipe their forehead, get situated on the rubber, it goes on and on.

What nfl has done is a joke. They were succesful with the game as was. Mlb needs to do something. I'm all for this let's see how it works and in years if it sucks then get rid of it.

I'm fine with baseball as is. yeah I'm bored sometimes, but I'm watching baseball to just zone out and chill. plus i love the nuances of pitching.

Don't disagree necessarily but not based off walks. That's a slow way to get runners
