700

he does have a point though. Every athlete have a routine, specially at the major league level. Can't be messing up their routine to facing a pitcher because someone decided that the game is taking too long. How about you start at having less commercial between innings? that's 30 seconds. just funny that he said that your guarantee to be out 70% of the time...thats batting .300 right there...last time i check that aint too bad lol.

i dont care for these new time rules screw speeding up the game let baseball be baseball. you watch a baseball game to sit back crack open a beer or roll up a j and just chill.

The Braves just scream of a team that's going to struggle to win 70 games.
ATL's rotation is good enough to keep them out of the cellar. Rejuvenated Shelby and I expect better from Minor than he showed in '14. Seeing a big year from Wood, without tipping my hand too much.

Offensively you do wonder where runs will appear from. Their OF is far below average.

I really don't see it. Not even factoring in they may not score 500 runs but they lost a lot with Gattis' pitch framing and are depending way too much on Bethancourt's defense becoming even average. Add in losing elite defense in Heyward, I don't think any pitcher stands a chance. Especially Shelby. To go from Molina to this mess with a shift down park wise and his still terrible mechanics, I think he's toast this year. Especially if he doesn't find the curve. He got nothing from that pitch last year and still relied so heavily on it.

David Ortiz is such a piece of ****. They're not lying when other players say he thinks he's bigger than baseball.

I don't think there should be a timer but there should be a memo saying, speed it up or fines will be given. No reason for a batter to step out every time and mess with gloves and hat. It's a joke.

He's pissed because it's a Yankees/Red Sox rule. If all of their national games didn't average over four hours, I doubt they'd be doing this.

They'll decrease the strike zone soon to appease the hitters IMO.

In thinking about Hamilton, I wonder if the fan's death (when he threw the ball) weighed heavily on him?

I honestly feel like Hamilton has not been Hamilton since that fan died.  It HAS to weigh heavily on him.  In spite of it not being his fault, how could it not?  He has to think to himself that if he threw the ball to any other place in the whole stadium, that guy would be alive today.

true
No chance.  They have already started talking about enforcing the strike zone exactly how it is written in the rulebook (letters to bottom of knees).  They will absolutely NOT make the zone smaller.

i don't think they'll make it smaller. but like you said, they're going to make sure umps enforce the zone more in line with the rulebook. i read that over the last few years, a LOT of pitches well below the knees were being called strikes. so i expect them to tighten up there
