Michael Kay and his crew on their ESPN Radio show proposed this question the other day - If Cespedes' agent says "We'll come back to the Mets for a 1 year, $20M deal", do the Mets jump on that or quick pass?

I'm sure he wants 300 million. I'm sure he's asked for 200 million. But asking/wanting vs what you're gonna sign for are way different

Chris Davis contract structure: $17m annual salary 2016-2022. Annual payments $3.5m 2023-32, then $1.4m 2033-37. No interest on deferrals.
