It's slightly better because of the $42mil deferred. But it's still a horrible contract at 7 year / $119mil and full no trade clause.

We don't know the whole situation, but I seriously doubt Boras would let Davis get hosed

Davis, being a Texas resident, also doesn't have to pay state taxes on the deffered money.
