Ewww if UA is really putting the logos on the front of the jerseys!

I don't see any other way for jerseys to look other than that... I would have been fine on the sleeve or even on the back of the neck... But on the front is straight fugazi status...

but i also seen a phillies jersey with it in the front wasnt sure if true or not
 
Under terms of the agreement—financial terms were not disclosed—beginning in the 2020 MLB season, Under Armour will be the exclusive MLB provider of all on-field uniform components including jerseys featuring prominent Under Armour branding, baselayer, game-day outerwear, and year-round training apparel…

The agreement will put a logo on the front of major league jerseys for the first time—on the right side of the chest, above the nickname or logo, meaning for a Yankees jersey, for example, the Under Armour logo will be right above the interlocking NY.

The Yanks jersey was a mock up. Here are the details of the UA deal, courtesy of Bloomberg:


The 10-year partnership, in which Under Armour will provide on-field uniforms and training gear for MLB players, will begin no later than the 2020 season, according to the league.

The agreement will put a logo on the front of MLB jerseys for the first time -- on the right side of the chest, just above the team name. Majestic Athletic currently has the main MLB uniform license, while Nike had a deal for base-layer apparel. Under Armour will be taking over both.

When Majestic, which is owned by VF Corp., decided to end its partnership, the league looked for ways to make the deal more valuable, and one big change is moving the logo to the front of the jersey, according to MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred. That helped MLB more than double what it will earn annually from the license, he said.

Choosing Under Armour also will help MLB attract younger fans, a big objective for a league that has an older fan base, because the brand already has a strong connection to that generation, he said.

“A young brand was really important to us,” Manfred said. “Under Armour is also at the cutting edge of performance.”

Was there a reason why Majestic ended their partnership? Feels like they've been the forever brand to baseball uni's.

That monster trade. Dombrowski made Detroit relevant again with that Miggy trade now he's taking Boston to the next level. Sucks Moncada is gone but that team is built to win now and in a few years so it won't matter much. 3b sucks though.
 
Wow.. Boston paying every last penny on Moncadas remaining $31.2Mill salary from the Original $63mil deal he signed.

White Sox got a sweet deal money wise too 
 
I kinda feel like that's not a ton for Sale... 

Moncada is a stud, but the rest of it is just solid... 

You get Sale at 3/$38M through 2020... That's INSANE.
 
This jersey news is gross. People actually think kids like UA? They don't. Steph's new shoes not selling and Cam went from hero to zero. UA is **** and will always be ****. Won't be buying anything with UA on it.

I like certain UA stuff.

And I actually see tons of kids wearing UA.

However, the logo on the front of the jersey would be awful.
 
Kind of surprised they gave up Diaz and Basabe but when you have the chance to geta Chris Sale on that contract you go for it.

Do you guys wear jerseys anywhere else besides games? I haven't bought a jersey since 9th grade mainly because they look ridiculous to me :lol:
