How many homeruns did you see Barry hit during his time at Pac Bell/AT&T Park that  were fly balls that just barely got over the fence?  I have seen more rockets hit off the top of the bricks that would have traveled an additional 50 feet than balls that were only homeruns because of the field dimensions.  Bonds had more homeruns taken away by the short & tall porch in RF than homeruns that were only homeruns because of the short porch.

Bonds already had it all, whatever he was taking, gave him the strength and energy to accomplish his feats. The only reason his HR numbers dipped after the "73*" HR season was because his IBB's rose to epic levels.

He went from a averaging 25 HR's and 79 RBI's in Pittsburgh to averaging 44 HR's and 107 RBI's in San Francisco with BALCO conveniently located in the Bay Area lol). Bonds hit 73* HR's at age 36... thirty ******g six. If you didn't think PED's aided him, don't know what to tell you.

Bonds is the only athlete that figured out a way to beat father time, 'cause none of the other "GOATS" figured it out.

So I think it's valid when people dismiss his Home Run "record".

Hank Aaron certainly figured it out, had his best power season at age 39, hit more homers after 30 than almost anyone.

Ted Williams, 5 best power seasons came at the ages, of 41, 34, 36, 38 22

Stan Musial? 36, 32, 33, 28, 27

Reggie Jackson? 23, 34, 31, 29, 36 and has his 7th best one at 39

One of Hank Green Bergs top 4 power seasons was at age 35.

The problem, unlike Aaron, Musial, Williams, Jackson, etc. is that his numbers jumped to the 60's and 70's.

Yes, Bonds only hit 46 home runs in 2002, 45 home runs in 2003, and 45 home runs in 2004. However his IBB's were 68, 61 and 120 eek).

PED's turned Bonds from a great player to a player on "GOD" mode.

We should have the same suspicious about Roger Maris, what did he do? I mean he he 61, and never hit more 39 in any season before or after. What was he on, did he looses his greenie supplier, what happened?

look, unless Bary had some special steroids that nobody else had.

I believe they juiced the ball, I believe the quality of pitching was down in the early 2000's, I believe he had a dream quirk season where he hit 70, and the perception allowed him to continue to dominate.

I posted about Maris in the pages before the Derby. Around 22% of his HR's in one season, never more than 39 any other season, bad injuries after the 61 season, died relatively young. All the symptoms.
