What I’ve been told: LeBron James will not take the vet minimum in order to facilitate a DWade signing with Cavs. Under any circumstances.
Hold on Hold on. Is that the public prove that Bron and Kyrie don't like each other?

Cause some places just aren't attractive to free agents.I don't think anyone wants to trade for a rental. Never understood why teams trade for players in their contract yr rather than just wait until they hit free agency.

Agreed.. Only 2 ways I think it would make sense is if they know the player will sign an extension or they need to move salary now w a trade rather than wait til the offseason if they don't have enough cap room.
I think Miami is a place that makes sense for Russ long term. Great organization weather taxes etc. lakers or Boston don't make sense and what OKC would get in return isn't of much to build from.
I can't see OKC letting him walk for nothing after this debacle.
The Lakers can wait until the offseason, but there's no guarantee that with whatever new parameters come with the new CBA or likely a lockout, that Russ will be available just to sign on. Ideally it's the smart move to just wait it out, but seeing as how they've screwed up in free agency, I don't even know if I want it to get to that point where they have to sell Russ on LA.Lakers shouldn't trade for Russ. They know he will meet w them this offseason. Plus they can't afford to give up any young players.
Boston has plenty of picks to give up but I don't see Russ staying there long term so they shouldn't waste those assets for a 1 year rental that still won't get them past the cavs.
The Russ situation is gonna be interesting... And yea they def can't just let him walk too.
