Not sure if we can count thibbs either

It'll be interesting to see how cassell does
Very true, probably can't count thibs either. Just a casual observation. In recent years it seems like if you're a lead assistant under doc, you end up a head coach pretty quickly.

Correlation =/ causation though.

The hair on a lot of these players on USA senior team and USA select team is wild as hell

Old article but some of these possible trades were comical

3. KOBE BRYANT TO THE BULLS FOR LUOL DENG, TYRUS THOMAS, BEN GORDON, AND JOAKIM NOAH

In 2007, Kobe Bryant had come off his most frustrating season ever (it would eventually be topped). Sick of playing with Kwame Brown and Smush Parker, Kobe made his feelings known. Enter the Chicago Bulls, who put together an enticing package for the middling club.

People forget how close this move was to becoming reality. It eventually came down to Kobe's refusal to go to Chicago if they traded Deng—he saw the young forward as an ideal teammate and didn't want to risk playing for a squad that had given away all their talent. It would have been a Gift of the Magi situation—only with 100% more Smush Parker.

Instead, the Lakers managed to trade for Pau Gasol, and Kobe and Pau went on to play in three consecutive finals, winning two.

Kobe woulda avg 40 on 45% and won 30 games with whatever was left on that roster.

Chuck on the Lakers would've been interesting.

Kobe wasn't signing off on that trade if they were giving up Deng

edit: they mentioned that in the article

Kobe was rumored in trade talks to the Suns twice in his career.

Once in 2000 for Kidd and Marion and in 2007 for Marion, Diaw, Bell, Barbosa and picks.

Good plan, but the reality is about to have them with Steven Adams as their franchise player.

Or get dlo, Ingram and a pick..

Build around dlo, Dipo, Ingram, sabonis and Adams

With bench: cam, Roberson, mcgary, albrines and drafts picks

I'd trade kanter too

DLo and Ingram aren't both getting traded and honestly I don't think they're going to move anything for Russ and just let him hit free agency because see any team that actually has assets to trade for Russ doing it and the ones that would I don't see him agreeing to an extension.

OKC will have options when it comes trade time: LA, Boston and Minnesota

By having 1 other option, LA if they want him will be forced to get involved

Ibaka also has 1 year left on his deal, OKC just got Dipo, sabonis and basically a cap space filler
