KD has faced single coverage many times during his playoff career and came up short. Didn't take over when it mattered most. Didn't hit the shot when the game was on the line. Didn't go demand the ball when the game is on the line.

KD is asserting himself both offensively and defensively that is the difference.

That narrative was always wrong though.  First of all, KD made plenty of clutch plays in OKC.  Secondly "not calling for the ball" literally meant operating in an offense where Westbrook decided not to pass half the time.  People wanted him to punch WB out or he wasn't an "alpha" or something.

nah I agree with a-friend, it's the same kd. His teammates are much more reliable now and he can get cleaner looks due to them being a huge threat and the systems offense. In okc it was either ISO, a high pick and pop with either Kendrick or Adams, or one of those quick mid range pull ups off of a screen on the elbow.

As for defense okc had ibaka and Adams to protect the paint while the warriors have only javale or zaza who i wouldn't consider a rim protector by any means. Draymond of course helps out and is a great defender but doesn't have the same length. Warriors are much more limited on length so he plays a vital role in that

Signing KD isn't the issue itself. It's the manner in which it was done. Should've just let it rock and kept it to himself. That totally comes off as a 'We can't beat Bron without you. WE NEED YOU!' plea.

**** everyone in here just now crying about how the Warriors just aren't fair anymore. Couple weeks ago "The King" was the GOAT, Kyrie owned Curry's soul, KD was too beta to ever win a championship and "had never had a better performance than LeBron in head to head matchups his entire career" and there was a 3-1 joke in every single post that any LeBron/Cav fan/Warrior hater would post on here or anywhere on social media.
