I want to like MLS and support the local team (Sounders FC for me) but something about the season and schedule kill it for me. They play too many of these friendlies (aka exhibitions) between regular MLS season games and the overall season doesn't have a good flow for me. Maybe I'm too used to how the season is with the NBA, NFL and MLB.
Guess I'm the typical american sports fan who gets hyped for the USMNT in the olympics and world cup but outside of that don't watch much soccer.

Me and my homeboys always have this discussion about the MLS.
I truly believe it'll never be a popular sports league in America, in my lifetime.
Baseball is already deeply rooted into the hearts of many, NBA and NFL already generate the most revenue worldwide. NHL is loved between Americans and Canadians.
MLS is battling with the likes of golf, tennis and lacrosse, and not gaining much momentum at the moment.
Doesn't help that the league gets 2nd and 3rd rate players and old guys outta their prime.

MLS will never be a top soccer league given its short history
But it can be a good second tier league soon
Just gotta keep trying to develop more American youngsters in the league
