I didn't even know there was a 3rd Hangover til it was on TBS or something a couple days ago. Seemed about as unnecessary as another Transformers movie

Exactly. The dialog is abysmal, they do crazy unrealistic ****, and the acting is usually cringeworthy. But you're entertained from start to finish.
