2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

Don't all GMs make collaborative decisions? How can they attract top talent if they don't want them to run the show?

The more I read about this, the more it's evident that ownership doesn't know what they want...

They want to hire the best possible talent, yet they want him to be a puppet. They were all in on the process, then did a 180 by hiring the Colangelo's.

Ownership clearly has no direction, yet they are looking for a yes man. That's why they couldn't land Griffen, Morey and Buford were obvious long shots, but not being able to land Rosas, Harris or Zanik speaks volumes.

Here's a good article about it:

good read, really sounds like they r willing and ready to wait til next off season, makes no sense, like it said theyd be right back in same situation. if you put up a hugely successful season though(make the finals) along with that 69 mill they will have, THAT makes the job alot more attractive IMO. they gotta get off their asses considering the simmons and fulz contract situations are around the corner. really really wonder what they r thinking

i think Elton Brand is a solid as hell choice, but what do i know

Why do you think Elton Brand is a great choice though? The way he talks has always annoyed me :lol

really smart guy, i like a cat who can talk from the players perspective instead of a career 'behind the desk' guy. hes not old and stuffy. imo wont butt heads with the suits looking for a yes guy, i dont think he will be a pushover in ANY wAI.
and now they got a pipeline to any dooooooooooook guys that come across the radar
So damn happy for him......watch this man shine

from practice last week .....

its progress but really needs to be raised alil

still looks likes he forcing it with a push all in one motion which is good but lets get it higher now

All I know is that he's still working on improving it until he's fully satisfied. This has been great progress, I remember him saying he'd rather have a one motion jump shot and that the biggest difference between the old and new.

I really don't care how it looks as long as it goes in. This is still not the end result.
