2018/19 Philadelphia 76ers Thread: The Process Continues

Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.

obviously our very talented team does not work hard and show any effort sometime, especially on the road.

pathetic, bout to lose 4 games in a row because we are getting the brakes blown out on Thursday against the bucks.
Times yours , Brand.

Nah Brett is good as gone. This mess is his. Too stubborn to adjust and tryna make guys into shooters just to fit his outdated offense

The players got to take some responsibility here, I’m not one to place 100% of the blame on Brown.

when watching it seems like the team doesn’t care, they go through the motions. Embiid especially. As talented as our team is, we should not be this bad on the road.

where is this only two loss team at home so bad on the road?

team is too coddled and babied. Everyone is comfortable and complacent. I don’t see any other teams where their owners are always around and hanging out with their star players.

I agree the team doesn’t play hard enough on the road outside a few games this season but Brown ain’t it anymore. He’s a good coach imo but whatever he’s doing just isn’t working on this team anymore. Plus he takes forever to make adjustments and how Al hasn’t been moved to the bench yet blows my mind.

Just as you said. Coddled and babied. That’s all on the coaching

when these games are getting out of hand, Brett does not call plays and get them under control. This he said hed do when Jo first got hurt. Nothing since

It’s our talent that’s getting us where we are, when coaching comes into place, you see the difference. Simple **** that Brett does not adjust to.

He wants everyone to be shooters to run his trash *** offense. Jimmy called him out on it last year, Horford has called him out on it, Embiid has called him out on it. Just get him the **** out of here

What’s funny is that when he was acting GM when Colangelo got fired, the guys we brought in fit his system ie Muscala, Dario, Cov, Chandler, Shamet. Guys who will shoot

When Brand came in he brought in guys who play downhill ie Jimmy/Tobi since that’s what’s needed in the playoffs over shooting (see 2018 playoffs). Brand brought in more guys who can play downhill and help get Jo some rest, what does Brett do, still play guys too many minutes and goes with an ill fitting lineup since those are the 5 best (barely) players

what coach in their right mind wants the defense/hustle to be the fuel for the team and have no answer to get the team right during rough stretches. Brett isn’t coaching them at all

It really does seem like Brett has lost the team.

I’m really happy we got blown the **** out last night so Brand is forced to make some deals happen now at least though. The last thing we needed the last game before the deadline was to win over a team ahead of us in the standings on the road. Would have made Brand and the team feel like they have enough.

Now that I think about it more, Brett basically has a plug n play offense. He needs certain guys to fill certain roles and doesn’t adjust

Neto plays more than Trey since Neto plays hesitant with shooting like TJ and probes around a lot

He’s forcing guys into roles instead of making the roles fit for them. We can say what we want about the roster but a competent coach will have this working

He’s done this every year  Ish Smith morphed into Sergio then morphed into TJ then morphed into Neto.

He’s put Horford in the Dario role that makes his actual skills a complete waste of time for everybody involved. If we’re going to get our money’s worth from him he needs to be heavy in pick and pop situations. Not camping out at the three point line jacking up quick threes.

Bruh lol this is why I’m more and more open to canning Brett than Brand. Let Udoka interim and switch the offense and bring Al off the bench. Move Neto/Scott/Ennis and roll with Shake/Kork/Zhaire as bench wings with Trey as emergency back up. Cut Bolden and resign Pelle. KOQ emergency big

not sure i can watch this *** whooping we bout to take vs the bucks on thursday honestly

yesterday game was waaaaaaay to obvious we all knew we was bout to get cooked lol

i enjoyed watching the tank years over this BS

If this roster doesn’t look verrry different on Thursday then it’s gonna be a really rough rest of the season.

Only thing that sucks is that after making those we’ll probably barely have anybody available to play on Thursday vs the Bucks and then will get killed again.

I refuse to pay for tickets to watch this kind of professional play.

Yeah it’s crazy. I went to opening night, usually I’d be to probably like three more of our games so far. I haven’t wanted to spend money to watch them play in person all year since then. I don’t even enjoy watching them play while on my couch.

Al Horford and Tobias Harris combined salary this season is $59,034,48. They combined for 12/9/3 on 29.41/22.22/0(no free throws) tonight

DEAD

I feel like something huge is gonna go down like we’re gonna trade Tobias, J-Rich or Horford, maybe even a couple of them...or Elton is gonna sit on his hands and do nothing and this nightmare is just gonna continue.
