It goes way deeper than that, Steph Curry's impact on the floor is felt even when he himself plays bad. He's always near the top of the plus/minus rankings for a reason, the guy can shoot 6-18 and have a plus 24.
But when he balls, that is when the team looks more unbeatable than anything else. He impacts the flow of a basketball game more than anyone.

When he’s “him”....the Warriors are literally unbeatable. Doesn’t matter who’s around him. A 30pt Steph curry game = a win. Usually by a large amount because of the impact his production and play has on the rest od the team.
No other player in the league has an impact like him when they’re at their best. Not even Bron, KD or Harden etc.
It’s why dude is “unique”.....and the only time they’ve lost over the past 4 years is when he’s been off.

It's why the Rockets had to win game 1 when steph was just "okay" because you knew something like this was coming. Steph scoring an efficient 30+ = game over. You saw it today, steph goes crazy and you got the roof on fire, Shaun Livingston getting saucy, his impact knows no bounds.
Houston can win w/KD going for 35. They Can't win with steph going for 35, especially because he's going to outplay my man CP, who's not fit for this series at all. That was such a big key to this series, steph vs CP.

It's pretty simple. Kevin Durant is an overall better player but Steph Curry is more important and more valuable to this Warriors team.
Remember how garbage the Warriors looked towards the end of the season when Steph was injured? Curry is the engine that makes this whole Warriors team go. That being said, Durant is a better player and ask any GM, if they were starting a franchise from scratch they would rather have Durant and Curry.
