Harden gotta lock in with Kobe and get that post game right.

-He an “all around player” yet? (2nd leading rebounder for GSW this series)

-Does he still get “hidden on defense”?

Or he still just a shooter? :nerd:

I mean he still gets abused and picked on. He still a ain't consistent good defender.

Never said he was just a shooter. :lol

And LeBron is gonna look terrible in the finals being blasted by 20 every game.

Has Harden won anything other than a MVP award playing the way he does? Regular season basketball is totally different than post season basketball. All teams have GM’s and scouting departments. It’s a lot luck involved when drafting players but is it GS fault that 3/4 core players ended up becoming all stars? Chris Paul missed 30 regular season games this year and the Rockets still won during the regular season. It does suck that CP3 was injuried because unlike most, I like to see teams at full strength but injuries happen. The narrative switches depending on the team.
You go 7 games against the eventual champion . You lose it doesnt mean your style cant work.

Somebody tell Deion the mvp doesnt factor in last year or post season. Harden deserves the mvp for his regular season performance. Lebron should always be in the mix though.

Harden is the best offensive player in the history of the NBA or so I was told. He was fine in every 1st half but continually had his Gatorade meter flashing in the 2nd. Maybe if he actually tried to move off the ball and not dribble 400+ times each game he'd be able to conserve energy for when they needed it most.

We don't have 4 all stars and possibly the most stacked team in history. Moving off the ball for JH is going to primarily be a waste of time. Pringles has a bunch of plays drawn up for him off the ball but there aren't other high level playmakers on our team besides CP3. We were able to keep the warriors in check primarily because of all their (wasted) off ball movement.

Harden didn't play well but he was going up against the best d in the nba and the series was still a toss up . Sorry but I don't get the you can't win with him as your number one option . Newsflash this was the real nba finals ..

Anyone still saying curry is food is talking out they behind .

Curry is food on defense

So Kyrie was missing because of SINUS SURGERY??

It’s a terrible excuse. I could have had that surgery within a week when I was about to have it a couple years ago. A superstar NBA player with over $100 million in his bank account could have that surgery any damn day any time. He chose to have it then so he had an excuse to not be there for the outcome of that game.

I’m glad they brought it up on First Take this morning too. SAS said he had the same surgery and Max with his boxing background knew what the deal was too.

Chu mean?

I was defending Harden last night. You don't think it would help him to develop some post moves when his 3 ain't falling? He shot twenty foe percent from 3 on 11 attempts.

Nah improved shot selection is more important to me. I don’t want to see him with his back to the basket ever, maybe a face up game but he’s had that in his bag for years.

If the rockets had won would people still say golden state is the best or most stacked team in nba history? They were down 3-2 and played the last two games with the opponents first ballot hof sidelined. They were real close to being on vacation.

Y'all kill Russ for not doing anything when he doesn't have the ballin his hands. So you're admitting that Pringles does have plays for Harden to do something other than iso but he or Harden just chooses not to do it? Interesting. Rockets were keeping GS in check because of their wasted ball movement? You must have been watching a different series, cause every 3rd quarter that's exactly what turned those games. GS stopped playing iso ball and went back to what makes them so difficult to guard.

So if GS would’ve loss, what would the narrative be?

Questions that need answering. I asked this last night but never got an answer. Most stacked team in history that were 2 halves away from Cancun. Rockets would also have to be one of the most stacked teams ever in that case which would negate the excuse train they have about GS being invincible or the Avengers or whatever over the top superlative you want to use.

LeBron is an elite finisher and even he'll turn his back and go to the mid post game when he can't get all the way to the rim. Why is harden exempt?

The answer to missing open 3s is not stepping in to shoot 16 footers or contested turnaround fadeaways.
What happened last night was an anomaly. It's not a common occurrence.
The modern system still works and is better than anything we've seen before.
lol . This the Watered down era/ Stat padding era.
I Strongly disagree but it's cool

What I said is off ball movement for JH in this series is a waste of time and energy. Especially game 7 with CP3 out. Can't write a whole essay on why. Nobody does that. But it starts with not having other high level playmakers.

In general, all series, their ball movement didn't get them open looks :lol. They got open looks off stops, early offense and transition 3s, some iso stuff. When they cracked us by 30+ we had given up altogether already. We let up defensively in the 3rd multiple times for various reasons, but we kept the standard splash factory in check to a very large degree. Really surprisingly good gameplan by MDA paired with some trash coaching by Kerr for long stretches.
