2020-21 NBA Offseason thread: Officially a wrap

a lot of guys in the league don't love or obsess over the gm. i remember dame saying that on a podcast saying there's very few guys like himself that have that mentality. other guys would rather do other things if the money was the same

Remember when Vince Carter wanted to get traded from the raptors and they wouldn't oblige him? He averaged 15 points, tanked his value and they ended up getting garbage back from the nets while Vince went on to average 27 a night. Holding onto disgruntled stars is just stupid

Melo in 2010-2011 season with the Nuggets. Sucked the life out of the team. They wanted to try to make it work too. But his mind was made up on Big 3, Big Market teams....after the decision. Nuggets Should’ve done it before the season...but luckily, the perfect trade partner in the good ole Knicks appeared for a propped fleecing.

All his *** had to do was wait until the offseason :smh: We had the cap space to sign him :smh:

To his defense....there was some unsureness about the new CBA going into the lockout offseason. And he was adamant about signing a deal under the old cba...to lock up that bread. Of course, this situation could’ve been avoided if he didn’t sign the extra year on his extension after the rookie deal, to let him be an FA in 2010...Like Bron, Wade, Bosh did. But he didn’t wanna leave money on the table.
