So y'all was just play pimping about the whole sleep walk to 50 wins and automatic top seed with Harden? Or y'all finally realizing the jig is up?
Harden is an automatic 50 wins. It’s proven. If the rockets are imploding then bet he won’t make the playoffs. Y’all more confident in curry missing the playoffs than harden. How does that work?

Does everyone really assume KD will come back the same though? I think most people have him as a question mark. On the optimistic side people have been saying he might come back as Dirk. I don't think people expect him to be 2017 KD.

You know how it is...THEY put the expectation of a second round appearance on Wardell but Jim just has to make the playoffs. Funny how that works.
Teams look even in terms of talent. Harden will outperform curry this season. Easily

Mental block is gonna be a big hurdle. And hope his other leg doesnt overcompensate and pulls a Klay. That injury probably shook KD a bit since hes a similar situation.

I guess I assumed people picking Brooklyn to be one of the best teams in the league (and winning the East) meant that they felt KD would return pretty close to form (I never said 2017 KD either).... maybe that’s not a fair assumption

The conversations about him and Wall returning are definitely different from my observation

Curry >>> Harden

The folks who think BK's gonna run away with the East easily seem to :lol

Good thing for him is that he's got the frame and playing style that never really relied on crazy athleticism like a lot of guys so I still think his game will age real gracefully even if he's never back at 100%

70-80% KD is still a top 10 player too IMO

Durant definitely relied on his athleticism. Having that slim frame at his height facilitated that. I can't even think of another 6'10"+ player outside Freak who is/was as athletic.
He was athletic for sure but he wasn't really reliant on it.

I mean like he's never had a super physical game that put constant strain on his lower body like a lot of other guys in the league.

Still think he'll be elite on the offensive end regardless, just might be on the defensive end that losing a step might hurt.

Bingo. And KD is a top 10 talent ever, who is a 7 foot wing. Comparing apples to oranges for no reason.

Yes KD is better than John Wall obviously lol
Like I said y’all are missing what I was trying to say

It’s not apples to oranges if they both have the same injury

I'm not really talking about physicality, more his quickness and agility. Crossovers, first step, etc.

Not saying he can't evolve his game to jive with his injury history and limitations, but he was definitely ridiculously athletic in his prime which he relied on to do what made him an all-time great.
