I don’t blame dudes for wanting to get paid when the ball out right away….

If I jump out there with 3 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and pro bowls, I’d want a new deal. ESPECIALLY, with the NFL lifespan.

It’s a tough dilemma

No joke about a minute and half later in that press conference he said “so announcing the starting quarterback here I just put my foot I’m my mouth. That wasn’t something I should of said.”

That’s the McAdoo we all know .

Happy April 20th.

Regarding all the Deebo stuff. Unless it’s multiple first round picks or some type of proven talent to where it all but guarantees they’re going to equal or exceed his production, it makes no sense to trade him.

He can want out all he wants. At the end of the day he’s under contract next season and the franchise tag is in play for the following season. They don’t have any obligation to trade him unless a team wants to overpay.

But in all seriousness they should just pay the man. If they trade him for picks. They’re likely drafting a receiver with one of those picks. That rookie receiver will likely be on some humble, “I’m just happy to be here, I can’t wait to play, I’m not worried about my next contract” type stuff. But if he produces, he’s going to want to get paid as well 2-3 years from now. And at that point the market rate for receivers will likely be even higher than what it would’ve cost to just lock Deebo down now.

I think you want his next 3 years more than any with the type of running/bruiser-type he is, that speed he has in his mid 20s, rather than the three years that come after that. So you’re actually paying for that production now, and can decide if you want him later on in 4-5 years.

Unless the Jets are willing to overpay (6th overall) I wouldn't send Deebo anywhere.

The WRs up for a new contract are represented by the same guy.

So that agent has quite a conundrum on their hands since they'll all want their contract last.
