Probably doesn't wanna play RB anymore and that's understandable.

I'm sure they're willing to pay him, but then they'll be giving him 100 carries a year.

I don't think he and Shanny get enough credit for how unprecedented his play was last year.

Shanny really had a WR lineup in heavy on short-yardage situations running straight into defensive tackles.

With the caveat that the 9ers probably dont deal him in conference, hope he lands anywhere but KC please

Still on a rookie deal, has a no-trade clause, and was a 2nd round pick.

The Niners have all the power. They could make it get real nasty if they wanted to.

Exactly. He’s under contract next season, and they have the franchise tag at their disposal for the following season.

The 49ers could easily play hardball here if they want to. They’re under no obligation whatsoever to trade him just because he requested a trade.

Yeah he can get pissed and hold out. But more often than not that ends up backfiring.

I think of the Randy Moss trade to the Raiders. The Vikings got the 7th pick in the draft in return. Drafted his replacement in Troy Williamson and that was a disaster.

In the NFL it’s better to have a disgruntled top talented player on your roster as opposed to trading him for a less than ideal return. This isn’t the NBA where players have a much easier path to forcing their way out.
