They’re both going to be good QBs, which one is better in 5 years is the question. Through like 5 Fields starts and 8 Mac Jones games, I’d say it’s even in terms of projecting them out, but I’m a Fields believer so I think his skillset for someone that succeeds if both do is more valuable.

I still think there’s a good chance none of the first rounders of this year turn out to be long term answers. Controversial I know. But not that impressed.

I told y'all I would have cut Darnold immediately after that game.
I legit would take the L and just move on.
The Panthers aren't getting enough slander.
They way they cut Cam, signed Teddy & gave up on him after a year, gave away multiple picks for Sam ****ing Darnold, and passed on Justin Fields. Someone needs to be fired.
Cam was washed
Teddy some mid
Donald is clearly trash.
JC horn is a stud so I ain’t really mad at that, but we stuck you right. Like Gotdamnit we really stuck at QB.

don’t forget they signed This fool for the extra year without seeing him play. I really thought and still think we going in the right direction as crazy as that may sound. But like many teams we waiting on a QB, oh yea and the OC trash.

I wonder if the injuries to Darnold and Tua came before the deadline would a Watson deal have gotten done

i think we now know why Fraud was allowed to go about ignoring protocols all year...its not a priority or big deal for the league in the first place. just for show

this worse than what y’all did and they took a 1st

shh is a joke.. but they ain’t touching any political issues anymore than they have to

I can’t put Mac Jones and Justin Fields in the same class.

In terms of QBR, Mac Jones is closer to Rodgers and Brady than Fields

That’s how bad he’s been. I think because of the pre-draft slander and big play potential, we aren’t really accessing Fields play for what it is and giving him the benefit of the doubt.

Fam aint never gonna let go of the Fields hate lmao

I'd say Mac has slightly strung along some better consecutive play than Fields from the small samples I've been actually able to see from both. I will also say Pats are a tad better in some areas surrounding their QBs, specifically the offensive line

but there isn't enough to really put them (or any of these rookie QBs) in different tiers right now

Mac's floor was always gonna be higher because of where he went (our OL and because of his basic skillset as a game manger IMO). i think McDaniels has done well protecting Mac (maybe even too much to start). but there is zero question in my mind Fields ceiling can and will be much higher. we caught a glimpse of it last night. you have to factor in how much the current state of the bears and Nagy hold him back.

I always said he had a high ceiling. But for me, in college he felt like a boom or bust QB from game to game. I felt like need to sit a season starting.
