"You miss 0% of the shots you don't not take."
-Wayne Gretzky, paraphrased
-Michael Scott, probably

-foe
The phrase has always been mathematically inaccurate regardless of how it has been phrased.

100% or 0% OF something that doesn't even exist isn't what they think it is.

Mans career fg% is 41%.

His last 4 full seasons in the League, he shot .397 (basically 40%), 41%, 41%, and 40%.
Why would anyone want a 40 year old shooting these percentages? Who also doesn’t defend, rebound or create for others? He’s not good enough to get a farewell tour. Man had a 19 year career. He exceeded expectations.

Would throw Randle but he doesn’t fit the timeline there. They probably get better offers but the players are solid value.

So are Presti & the Thunder just not going to try to win?
It's kind of insane.

You'd think your effort to stockpile all these assets as a mid/small-market team is so you can go dump them on someone else for a great player.

They just gonna keep drafting players and hope over time that one or two of them just love being in Oklahoma?

It's a lot easier to tolerate bad shooting and poor defense at 20 then 40

I can dig that.

Because cats saying poor defense and poor shooting as if JC hasn't been exactly that for the past 15 years isn't making sense to me.

Why must this be the reason we are speaking against your claim?

Because everyone seems to be parroting each other. Give me something more than "can't shoot" and "poor defense" when again, this is who he has been since forever.

Y'all better than that.

Now it's probably over for Crawford but I do think he could have been solid for someone last few years. Like other pacific northwest hooper seems like his career was cut short just a bit early (IT, Nate)

It's early for Presti to shop SGA, but he's going to keep rolling over contracts and not let his players enter unrestricted free agency unless he gets the super duper star.

So again, are you purposely ignoring the fact that he has been even WORSE in terms of his efficiency over his last 3 seasons?

He is 40 years old, which means his body is more prone to injury (Which was proven).

I'm really not sure why us speaking on this means we don't LIKE him.

That's why I said I couldn't tell if you were being serious.

Why would a team want this from a 40 year old?

There are SO many other dudes that hoop that could give you this. Why him?

Would you rather win games & have expectations or be applauded by John Hollinger for having 9 draft picks in 2026?

It's a tough call.

It's silly.

Part of me gets it. Part of me looks at it and I'm just like... At what point do you plant your flag and say "GO"?

You're just gonna keep trying to be bad until you land a LeBron? We've seen how that plays out. Durant didn't wanna stay because you couldn't get anyone else there. You traded Harden because you either didn't want or couldn't afford to pay three mega-stars.

Also, this statement is highly false anyway.
Right, but if I said 'Most comedybtaken literally...' it wouldn't tie into the originally referenced quote on 100% of the shots you don't take.

But can you name a joke that's funny even after being taken literally, at face value? 👀

Everything with OKC always comes down to how cheap they are …that’s the simple reasoning in what they are doing

They gon end up hittin on a draft pick and stress about yo not having any help cuz they got rid of everybody before the new player got there :lol :{ …It’s hard to assemble a group of good players, you at least have to give em a shot at competing before you “start over”
