Wouldn’t surprise me. But he’ll likely be out the league one way or another within the next few years.

Teams will tolerate all the extra theatrics and shenanigans when the on court performance is worth it to them and said player puts butts in the seats to justify the distractions. But the minute their play starts to decline, these front offices get less and less interested in dealing with those distractions.

His contract is up after the 2022-23 season. He’ll be 31. The talent should still be there. But I could see teams being hesitant to give him another max deal when they’re uncertain if they can depend on him to play and not randomly go mia. Wouldn’t be surprised if any future contracts he signs have some type of language in them to cover the team if he acts up.
