Lions wasted Stafford's career with some bad coaches. Caldwell was the best and even he was still underwhelming. You had a QB for 10 years who had all of the tools of an elite QB but poor coaching/OC and you end up with this career. Sometimes you just have to be lucky and get into the right situation. Brees doesn't become a HOF QB without Payton, who knows what happens to Mahomes if he doesn't land with KC.

So yeah Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields should be worried if they'll be going to NYJ and Jax

As a Jets fan I completely understand this kind of take but at the same time when exactly do those two teams deserve to get a franchise QB?

At this point what is the only way the Jets and Jags can prove themselves? If they sign a veteran QB to add to a good defense? If the Jets and Jags don't deserve nice things then why not contract them? When will it end?
