Imagine the NBA banning switch defense because it was too effective.
I think it’s also because it takes away an exciting element of the game and makes the games more boring. Feel like it would be more like the NBA takes away the 3 point line because teams are spamming 3s.

Then again, the league did change the rules with hand-checking and installing three second rule.

I don’t see the need for an in season tournament. The play in was enough.

The East is going to be competitive barring major injuries. The west should have a solid 8 teams competing every night. We just added stuff to add it

This just sounds you’re longing for some youthful nostalgia….

Have you seen what Ohtani has been doing the last few years man?

Yes
No - but I’m aware

I feel like I’m the 90s to early 00s…you really didn’t have to be a fan of baseball to know who’s who, or semi enjoy it.

Them dudes was larger than life.

It was for sure a lot going on back then. Shenanigans.

There are competitive games on every full slate. Gotta get past what’s on national TV. every game isn’t going to come to the wire. That’s not how sports work. There are entertaining blowouts. There are boring close games.

I know I'm alone with this take but a lot of games are actually boring and not close to competitive. If the tourney minimizes some of these blowouts I'm all for it
I’m with you on trying to make the regular season more meaningful but the execution seems off

Now we’re going to have to hear about “extraordinary mid season tournament performances”

Seems like a farce
