LBJ fans would become a bunch of schizo's if this happened. They're already psychotic.

Personally, if I had a vote, I'd be torn on who to choose between Giannis/Embiid.

I feel like when they get it right, the criteria looks something like: Individual statistical performance + how individual output impacted team performance and its place in the standings by season's end.

Every so often you have a guy putting up super elite individual performances who "carry" their teams to postseason play as a lower seed who have really compelling cases. ('06 Kobe, '16 BrickBoy, '21 Chef, '22 Jokic).

I'm not a fan of the idea of the MVP being the "did the most, with the least" award. That kinda justifies all the bozos who think Lebron should have had 5 MVPs before he even left for South Beach.
Games played has to be a factor. Embiid had missed 14 games.

Aight I saw the Dubs highlights. Im sorry guys.

That was filthy. :pimp:

That Poole, Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Dray lineup is insane.

Poole gonna MVP his way into a chip.

Dubs vs Bucks? 👀

What's this then?

Russ was a +40 in games 2-5 of that Rockets series in 2017.

Joker is shooting 46% from the field and 0% from 3 in 2 games.

this really the hill you willing to die on? Russ' 2017 1st round opponent =/= jokic's

we're acting like Russ put up those numbers against a world class team on both ends of the floor. this is who OKC played and lost to in the 1st round. harden and sweet lou the only two dudes on that 2017 rockets' team who'd make the warriors' current roster.

this isn't to take away from Russ' triple doubles, but let's not act like the goal posts are the same here.

Warriors ain't been a world class team since the calendar turned to 2022 (26-22 since Jan 1st) Stop it with the copping pleas and excuses. Nuggets getting blown off the floor with the runaway MVP is going to be a bad look no matter what, but y'all ain't going to keep it consistent with the slander.

In game 1, if you played 14 min or more, you were a negative 7 or worse.

In game 2, if you played 17 min or more, you were a negative 7 or worse.

You and stat muse are reaching by plucking out jokic and using him as the example.

The dubs are a better team that Denver. And news flash, when your getting your tail kicked, you will have a lot of players in the negative.

But you and stat muse frame it as if the nuggets were doing well, then when jokic comes into the game, all of a sudden, the nuggets stink.

Yeaaaa we don’t care enough about the nuggets or jokic to slander either like that

this probably the last chance for all of that after he gets the mvp and other guys who could have won the award do stuff in the playoffs

so you're saying that the warriors between January - March (a team that featured klay playing his first game after 2 years, a period of no draymond, followed by a stretch of no steph) is the same as the warriors as of today?

No I'm saying the crowing and propaganda may be a little premature on the Warriors and just stating the facts of them being a middling team since the start of the new year. Y'all already tried to crown them once the first couple months of the season. Acting like Joker going up against the 96 Bulls is comical at this point to excuse what's happening to his squad while he's out there.

replace jokic with 2017 Russ and it's warriors in 2 🤷‍♂️ no one's crowning the warriors or saying they're the '96 bulls, but you're being obtuse if you think the rockets in 2017 are the same level of competition as this current iteration of the warriors.

in any case, nuggets gotta stop trying to play at the warriors' pace. back to back blowouts by the end of the third with game 3 likely ending with the same result. might as well attempt to slow it down to a snail's pace and body the warriors in the paint. run jokic and boogie at the same time for short spurts before boogie inevitably has his emotional melt down.

didn't read argument but clint, bev, and gordon dont make the warriors roster and lou does? how so

Can def put some blame on Mitchell, but he's far from the most guilty. Especially considering how much he and the others had to make up for Conley offensively

Didn't matter who they attacked as long as it wasn't O'Neale or House they were gonna get success

BrickBoy didn't have any case for being the league MVP in 2006. His self-fulfilling narcissism killed the Lakers dynasty.

Smart isnt as impactful as a big on d but he really is the leader of the team on defense. He brings so much energy on that end and him switching allows Rob williams to chase every block without much risk
