I mean they got the Phillies and Braves in their division. Last year they couldn’t hold off the Braves for the NL East Division title and lost to the Padres in the wild card round with all 3 games at Citi Field.
If old men Scherzer or Verlander break down they won’t go further next season.

Ya man has been gassed about the Padres since last season. All due respect, Padres haven’t done **** ever. On paper they won a chip. IRL they still need to win at least one. Even my bum *** Mets managed to get two rings over the years.

We already lost the NL East when we got swept by the Cubs at home in September. That sweep killed our vibe.
What ifs don’t bother me. To be honest, it’s about time that we got an owner who willing to spend to try to win the WS
We lost Reyes. We replaced him with Ruben Tejada and Quintanilla. We lost Murphy. We replaced him with Neil Walker. We lost Wheeler. We replaced him with Wacha
Our owner Cohen is just buying time for the Met organization. That’s why we refuse to trade prospect. We want to win while revamping our staffs, departments and farm system at the same time. It makes sense we went after experienced and high level veterans now

Mets will be solid and the NL East will be a battle again. Next summer’s deadline can get wild too and next offseason will be lit again with someone giving Ohtani half a $B.
