2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

Man that’s the whole reason why I copped the Concepts NFT just in case lol
Man. I have ZERO interest in NFT's, but stuff like this, where there's a possibility I can more easily obtain PHYSICAL shoes, is the only reason I would ever consider them. But it's gotta be a guaranteed thing to me. Fk another Pigeon keychain situation where I'm rolling around with some useless sht after the fact.

Does anyone know whats happening to my precious??? I guess its time for me to start wearing some of my gems.

DripNick DripNick those unions look off to me, avoid

taz92 taz92 idk why but some gum rubber always gets that powdery residue after a lot of years. It's most prevalent on hemps from that same silver box era. As long as the rubber isn't smooth/hard you should still be good to wear them. Idk why the hell you wouldn't wear those shoes in the first place though

I'd hate to see some Silver and Pink box releases destroyed, but it would be interesting to see how they compare to releases today.

Edit: that guy speaking in the video is a ******* idiot. I skipped straight to the cutaway. This is the first time I've ever seen a new tooling SB deconstructed. One difference in the comfort appears to be the foam cushioning. In the pics above, there's a full length piece of foam that sat between the insole and the outsole. It was maybe like a centimeter thick. On the new tooling, it's just the heel. This what y'all been paying resale for?

The new tooling sucks. The Jade horizons I bought in late 2019 have this blocky shape to the silhouette that looks cheap compared to the older stuff. I’m not a fan, these days I think the thin tongue regular dunks have a more true look to them than sb’s and it’s a shame.

What makes you say he's an idiot?
Can you see the cross section of suede/leather? Curious of the materials are noticeably different.

Because I grew up in capitalist America and don't need to question why a mega-corporation is using cheap/subpar materials, advertising them as otherwise, and upcharging consumers. Nor do I need to create or watch a 10 minute video to show that point. edit oh and he got plugged from/is working with stockx and **** stockx, they're an awful company

But I'm not the intended audience for the video so I digress

Valid.

I think his videos do a good job of putting to rest any speculation/unknowns about things. We all know the materials are poor, but seeing how poor or sometimes surprisingly decent is interesting. Also the differing structural construction of shoes is something I like to see. Case in point, how the foam is different from the old tooling and the new.

Was the left shoe shrink wrapped or a display at one point? I think shrink wrapping shoes has been proven to actually age them quicker. I get that it makes sense if it’s a display shoe in store and you don’t want people touching it. Maybe your left shoe was a shrink wrap display at one point and the midsole dried out quicker than the right pair?

Maybe someone cleaned them before shrink wrap and there was moisture still? But I’ve never seen shrink wrap do that because the elements is what gets to the midsole IE. Humidity
