REPD for the ostriches..dope

i was a freshman in high school and i saw a guy at school wearing the brown/pink stussy dunks. i wanted a pair SO BAD but i couldn't find it anywhere. i thought SBs were highly limited since i didn't find any at my local shoe joints so i didn't even bother. :lol

i retired from collecting shoes for several years. then my boyfriend got me back into collecting shoes last year because i was jelly of all the SBs/jordans he has :lol  i didn't know SB dunks were sold at skateshops. luckily, 510 is a short walk from my uni. my first pair was the blue/yellow brazil dunks.

High school? Dang i feel old lol.. I got in to kicks back in 2001-2002 if u r in socal u know the wearhouse shoe sale i worked there 2001-2003 i picked up royal 1s and Pro B 3ms marron what got me in ! Hard core

That's a good topic of conversation @KAWS1.

What originally drew you to Nike SB as a brand, and what pair of SB's were your first pair?
Tiffany lows. They were also my first dunks. Wish I could have em back. Now that I'm working I'm slowly chipping away at my must have SBs as well as some retro 2001 Jordans 1 colorways that have been retro'd recently.

The first thing that got me looking into SBs were the papa bears. There was this dude on my college campus who ALWAYS had them on and so it kinda made me wanna look more into SBs. Not to mention I was already building up a bit of a collection of Skate shoes anyway. But yea I never actually liked the papa bears but I did like seeing those furry materials being used on a skate shoe so kinda made me wonder what other crazy SB colors I could find. My technical first SB was these PRod 2's copped for like $30 at my nike outlet first, last and only SB I've ever seen at my outlet :{. lol

But my first SB Dunk was the Venoms.

I know I'm in the minority on here, but I like the Blacksheep dunks.
They remind me more of LL than radio Raheem .

I will be getting them

Man I miss those PRods they were sooo comfortable. I can't believe I just gave them away to a friend in need of a pair of shoes to skate lol Guess at the time I was actually collecting skate shoes to actually skate eventually and not just to wear still wish I would've kept em though I'm just too generous I guess :rolleyes.

I remember my friend taking me to a sneaker boutique, one of the only specialty sneaker places in the city, if not the only one. I remember looking at Nike SB URLs, Ecues, anguses, etc. I really liked the materials and the unique colours used on the Nike SB line up. Being in high school, I didn't really have much money for shoes, but now I look back and it was kind of a deal and the line up had much more interesting colours and materials. Eventually I picked up Eires and after years of wearing that the ball started to roll due to how durable and comfortable they were yet unique compared to the generic Nikes at Foot locker. I liked the heel 'nike' tag was different which read 'eire' and it had the harp on the side. I like the small touch of details that Nike SB adds. My SB "collection" is only at 6 pairs. I buy what I like but within reason so I can actually try and wear them along with my other non SB shoes. I wish I had a time machine to go back and buy the older Nike's at retail haha

I grew up a Jordan fan and only really had SLAM mags and eastbay catalogs as sources of info so SBs were pretty foreign to me until I got to high school in 2000. This kid in my spanish class who used to rock his backpack hella high up on his neck would always talk about the Danny Supa dunk SB's and how sick they were. I checked em out and wasn't digging the knicks colors, but I liked what the SB line added to the base shoe. I was intrigued.

So naturally, as a Jordan fan, the supreme dunk lows were amazing to me. Luckily I knew somebody who is like the filipino version of Hustleman from Martin, and he had a pair he wanted to move. I paid something like 275 for them. At the time, it was the most I ever paid for a pair of shoes. Prior to that I paid 160 for space jams on the resell market and thought THAT was wild.

So Black Supreme Lows were my first SB shoe. Not a bad start.

Black carhartts did it for me. I was always a fan of dunks, however the carhartts really caught my eye on the sb tip. Blk carhartts with my blk carhartt parka...couldn't tell me nothing. After that, it was over and I just dove in.

I'm kinda into the bs dunk. My major beef is that it says sb all over, why do I need to be reminded, and remind everyone else I'm rocking an sb? Shouldn't it be bs? Maybe not, maybe just me. See how I feel when official photos are out, and if it's even able to be copped.
