2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

One of my gripes with SBs. Their sizing throughout the years has been inconsistent as hell. I think I've gotten pairs from every box era that are just flat out completely off from the sizing of other pairs in that era. I have a ton of gold box 11.5/12 but the 12 Trashins I had were like a 12.5.
agreed, I wear 13 and the length is normally true but the width of the shoe always seems to vary. My Sasquatches and captain America's are really wide compared to others

With the current state of SB affairs, I personally wouldn't feel comfortable with paying over retail for anything over the last 2 box eras with just a handful of exceptions.

I've actually had good experiences with StockX. Haven't tried GOAT yet.

I've never used either of those. What are their advantages/disadvantages over eBay? Craiglist for my area is dead and I don't have Facebook. I'm clearing out some of my shoe collection so jumping into the discussion.

Two biggest advantages imho:

1. Less fees. You take home more money.
2. You never know who buyer is and vice versa. You ship to stockx, they authenticate and ship to user.

Biggest disadvantage as seller:

1. Still relatively new. Less eyeballs on your shoes. Therefore could take longer to sell.

Seriously this is not a good time to sell. Anything from the newer eras will barely fetch box price. You might be better off taking them to the Nike outlet and returning them.
But, if they're classics then yeah try goat or whatever.

I paid below retail for all of them initially and they've been worn since. It's really just to unload stuff I don't wear anymore. My feet have changed and Dunks/AJ1s just aren't comfortable anymore.

This is exactly what I did. I like the concept behind the stained glass, but they were uncomfortable as hell and I'll never wear them.. Took them back to Nike and got back more than I would have selling them.

I agree. The materials do play a big part though as well. My 9.5 black box send helps fit perfect. My 510 skate shops in a 9.5..I could not even squeeze my foot in. They were canvas though I believe.

Looks Interesting...

Do you remember your first pair of sneakers? No, not the generic joints your mom bought you before 4th grade—I'm talking about the ones you bought for yourself for the first time. Remember that feeling? That mix of pride, maturity, floating, and the feeling that no one in the world can touch you. Yeah, it felt good, right? But what if someone stole that from you?

Kicks, the first feature film from director Justin Tipping, follows Brandon, a teen growing up in Oakland. He's a runt of a kid, and his mom's never been able to keep him laced with new kicks, so in a world of bigger kids and fresh Jordans, Brandon is relegated to the background, perpetually looked down on. Until he scratches together enough cash to buy a pair of 1s, the red and black ones. But just when he's starting to feel the unassailable power that a new pair of shoes brings, they're taken off his feet—physically—and the rest of the movie follows Brandon around Oakland as he tracks down those Jordans, entirely redefining who he is as a person in the process.

The movie, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival this year, is a bold statement from Tipping, flush with visual and soundtrack flourishes that enrapt and hypnotize. And as Brandon, Jahking Guillory delivers a compelling performance. But the strength of Kicks mostly lies in the questions it asks, about growing up, about the unfortunate underbelly of sneaker culture, and about what it means to be a man.

Kicks drops in theaters on Sept. 9. Until then, watch the trailer above over and over.

"With all due respect..."

I guess it depends on where you live. I'm under the impression its a European thing, or at least it started there. There are a lot of Caucasian men in Europe, so I guess you're technically (tho not politically) correct.

Back in the 80s it was called tightrolling and everyone in the states did it.

We actually called it pinch cuffing. If you didn't pinch cuff in 5th grade you had higher waters on, and we clowned you for not pinch cuffing.
