I'm assuming the JB section is the way it is because of the competitive nature of the shoes, not everyone can get them who wants them. But what about this thread? When SBs were at their height was it more like the JB forum or was it still the same helpful attitude?

THE JB forum does not even come close to the SBforun !!!! I wanted those chi 1's but man ! It was a free for all ! Sad really no one would help each other out ... Not like here we all help each other out post links numbers !

We just received another new arrival from the Nike SB June Collection, the Dunk Low Pro SB (Black/ University Blue/ White/ Black) is now available. These kicks feature a great mix of materials and a clean colorway for Summertime that has been dubbed “Sub Zero” by a few due to the similarities of the black and blue in the Mortal Kombat character’s costume.

You aren't wrong with your statement but there is a differece with buying SB and Jordan's.
I was here heavy pre and post DLS, there are far far less lurkers and new faces compared to jordan releases. I've sat through enough of those on NT. Options are different, no shops to call, skate shops have more ethics to an extent compared to a JB retailer. So while a shady skate shop may, may upsell $50, Jordans go up at least $100 from a local spot. Your only other option is entering raffles, I am grown *** man, I am not running to a bunch of shops around NYC to enter raffles multiple times.
Now NT is shady where people will buy 2-3 pairs and not even oops the extra pairs but look at the JB market compared to SB, money is the root of all evil, we all know good NT'ers compared to shady ones, those who will have good sources and can look out will but NT is swamped with dirtbags, nothing we can do about it, that's the culture now.

Why don't more shops allow phone orders? I'm guessing nike tells them they can't? Just found it weird that I was able to get spot low QS from fishbone but got told they don't do phone orders re: BTTF dunk
