2025 NBA Draft Thread

Kinda hoping the Knicks can trade down for 13 + 15 if they can’t trade up for Ivey.

Everything after 4 is a toss up.

Need the Kings to do what they do and go completely left with their pick…Either trade it for Westbrook or draft Drew Timme
This is all I want. A Kings masterclass of chaos and mismanagement.

Trading Sabonis + 4 to get into the top 3 and taking a consensus mid-1st rounder would be peak Sacramento.

my current big board by tiers.

Sharpe
Banchero
Jabari
Holmgren

Keagan
Ivey

Mathurin

Dyson
Dieng
Griffin

i haven't watch enough of the rest of the dudes to have an opinion.

I think Jabari is the lowest risk,
but if you are picking in the top 5 you have to swing for the fences.

The most valuable player type is the big creator scorer,
and Shape and to a lesser degree Banchero have the best chance of becoming that player type.

and like I said in past drafts, anyone who can has a chance of doing that you gotta roll the dice.

I also think Banchero and Sharpe have the highest chance of being total busts.
but ultimately the point of picking this high is to get a superstar.
and it's harder for me to see that happening for Jabari and Chet.

chet can't play 5, and Jabari has very limited feel for the game.
Im very confident Chet will maximize his physical tools, if he was 5% more athletic or a 10% better shooter id take him 1 but alas.

And giving up what? Hornets value Duren and Sharpe-likely both are gone. Is NYK taking on Hayward/Rozier? Dumping big $ with something in return is the preferred move

Man I’ll take Rozier. Much better than the Brogdon BS being floated around.

Your tiers are basically mine

I noticed nobody named Johnny davis

He didn’t have good 3 point numbers but it seems like he’s a shot maker and decent ft %

I might swap him with griffin

Outside of the lottery I like

Walker Kessler
David Roddy

Deep sleeper

Hyunjung Lee
Kenny Lofton Jr.
Noah Kirkwood

Walker Kessler is just giant and reasonably mobile with good hands.
could be an elite brook lopez level rim protector.

David Roddy is already pretty athletic despite carrying 260 pounds.
slim down a little bit, get even quicker, can pass, and shoot
could totally see him as a desmond bane type.

Why is Caleb Houstan a better prospect than Hyunjung Lee?
Caleb is a shooter who can't shoot, Hyunjung actually does the thing he's supposed to be good at.

Lee is an underrated athlete, put up pretty good rebounding numbers. and is a high volume versatile shooter.

Caleb ive been watching him since he was 16 and he just never make shots.
low key if he was white or darkskin imo nobody would consider drafting him.
light skin kinda looks like klay thompson, everyone keeps acting like he's a shooter when isn't:lol:

I love Kenny Lofton,
if he can get his weight down, I could see him as a really good off the bench offensive big man.
just needs to find a way to hold up defensively.

I think he's smart enough and has a high enough BBIQ to make it happen.

Draft is going to be weaker than previous years imo. It’s not a strong class in terms of an all nba prospect. You could argue you’ll get a good number of rotation players though, playoffs even
