Wesley Claims LeBron Leaning Strongly Toward Bulls
According to Yahoo! Sports, William Wesley "has been telling everyone that he believes LeBron James is leaning hard toward signing with the Chicago Bulls."

Wesley is a member of James' inner circle.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that GM Gar Forman may not have been sold on Tom Thibodeau as the team's new head coach but owner Jerry Reinsdorf made the final hiring decision. Thibodeau is represented by Wesley's agency.

An executive whose team has significant salary cap space told Wojnarowski that he believes the major deals will be agreed to before the top free-agents-to-be ever officially become free agents.

"I think all the big free-agent deals will be done by July 1, if not the draft. The NBA would have a cow if [it] knew what's going on now," the executive said.

Pat Riley is planning to pitch James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade on taking less than maximum-salary contracts to play together in Miami. Riley is also intrigued by the possibility of bringing in Ray Allen.

Meanwhile, it was reportedly made clear by James' inner circle that he wanted both Mike Brown and Danny Ferry to be removed from their positions with the Cavaliers.

"LeBron never had to come out and say that he wanted Brown and Ferry gone," said a team executive familiar with the dynamic in Cleveland's front office. "But the anti-Brown and anti-Ferry sentiment from LeBron's crowd was loud and clear to Dan Gilbert. He knew where LeBron stood."

Wojnarowski writes that Gilbert is willing to do whatever James asks to keep the superstar in Cleveland, which contributed to Ferry's unhappiness in his position.

"Danny's been miserable for the past two years," a friend of Ferry told Yahoo! Sports. "Even if they kept LeBron, do you still lose for winning there anyway?"

Wojnarowski reports that Gilbert is determined to hire Tom Izzo, but would hire John Calipari upon James' request.

"You're asking me if LeBron is going to New York?" Bryant told The Post. "I'm trying to tell you in a polite way, I don't give a [bleep].

if i were other teams i wouldnt take beasley under any circumstance knowing that lebron, and bosh can join wade in miami. i wouldnt watch the nba anymore if that happened.

James Worthy has his three NBA championships rings with the Lakers and another NCAA title from his North Carolina days. The former Lakers power forward is well decorated and believes LeBron James would look like a "quitter" if he left Cleveland without any bling. "My personal opinion is a lot of times when you lose and you leave, it sounds like a quitter," the seven-time All-Star Worthy told The Post. "I would never want to leave without accomplishing the goal." New York Post

"He's in the right position to demand what he wants," Worthy said. "He's in a position to tell the team what he wants. If they don't give it to him, I don't think he wants a Kevin Garnett situation where he's there 11 years, 12 years. He's got to ask for the same thing Larry Bird had, Magic had, he needs another Hall of Famer around. But I still see him in Cleveland." Worthy can't see James signing with the moribund Knicks, even with Chris Bosh. "I don't think so, it would be tough with that current team," Worthy said. "He'd stay in Cleveland for that. The Knicks would have to make some moves. Wherever he goes, they're going to have to make moves. He's been in the league seven years. He's not going to stand for status quo. Antawn Jamison is a good player, Shaq is an older veteran, but they still haven't given him enough. New York Post

Now i look at it... this draft is important for us.. we need to come up wit a steal trade and i think we can...

lol @ worthy's contradictions

first saying it would look like hes a quitter, then sayin he wouldnt want a KG situation (guess what KG bounced from minny and REGRETS how long it took him to make the decision)

then saying he needs another hall of famer playing by his side...hey theres a guy named chris bosh thats also a free agent and wants to leave his team!

i dont think worthy understands the cap situation. cleveland made too many power moves last offseason and cant do CRAP this offseason.

Didn't Worthy play in that all star lineup himself ?

when can teams begin trading? Draft day or July 1?

why does everyone in the world HATE NY so much... its blatant disrespect to the organization and the fans alike...

from past players to announcers and others around the league wants everyone but the KNICKS to have a shot a LEBRON... like we aint got mad people coming off the books this yr...

wow... look at the lineup worthy played with. that's hilarious for him to say.

and i bet he watched about 3 knicks games this whole year. people just want to hate. who wants to see the yankees, giants/jets, and knicks be amazing at the same time? only new yorkers.

the more people that tell lebron not to come here the better. keep on telling him to go anywhere else on the planet. push him right here. it really is us against the world at this point. what drives me crazy is that people think it is okay to ditch CLE to go to the bulls? they are rivals and the 2nd or third biggest market in the country. But for him to go to NYC is morally wrong. straight up hate, no way around it.

people are nervous as hell and want him anywhere but NYC. and that isn't because he "can't win here". they want to hold him back for numerous reasons.

The argument that LeBron should stay in Cleveland because it's a better team is preposterous..

The Cavs suck
laugh.gif
Mo, Varejao, Aged bigs cmon

We have young talent, we have the $, and the genius behind the boards to make moves, whereas the Cavs utterly failed in putting together a core to surround lebron on the way to a championship

I believe he's leaving, hopefully it's here, but he ought to distance himself from that organization

If Walsh told me he wanted me to be an assistant GM, i would be willing to volunteer as a side job..

laugh.gif

Can't believe Pr0phecy neva hit anyone of us up when he was chillin wit the knicks dancers smh

No way Lebron goes to Miami to play with Wade and Bosh. I don't think he would want to be known as the guy who had to sign with another team and play with 2 other superstars in order to get a ring.

Bulls fan in the house....Nice vid, great cheerleaders

Truth be told, your team has made it possible to make a lot of noise this summer, I don't really believe all can co-exist in MIA and it would require a sign and trade for us to land Bosh and Bron...I don't know why Worthy is making those comments (they also affect us)

I can't wait to get all this over because the anticipation is killing me

Quote:
88. What is the trading deadline?

It is the date during the season after which trades are prohibited. It is defined as the 16th Thursday of the season. The prohibition on trades lasts until the day following the team's final game of the season (see question number 85).

Quote:
85. When can't a player be traded? Can players be given "no-trade" clauses in their contracts?

When the trading deadline has passed. Teams are free to make trades again once their season has ended, but cannot trade players whose contracts are ending or could end due to an option or ETO.

and the only reason I know is because I remember a trade happening during the nba finals a few years ago...I think it was the kidd-marbury trade...

Bulls have one slot available. So to get two free agents they must do a sign and trade. However, they have some nice expensive pieces for one of those. So if Bron wants to say sorry to Cleveland he can do a deal where the Bulls send Deng and some other bums to them and that would also ensure he gets his extra $30m. Then the Bulls have their original slot open for a guy like Bosh.

Rose, Bron, Bosh, Noah.

Still think Bron is in Cleveland next 3 years though.
