A year ago, only had a Discover IT card with a $750 limit.
A year later, got a Chase Freedom Unlimited with 4.5k CL, BoA Cash Rewards with 4k CL, Discover IT with 2.5k CL and BoA BBR with 1.9k CL. Just waiting to get a Costco membership for a Costco citi card one day and I'm pretty much done with cc's.
Obtaining all my credit cards that I ever want now and getting that out the way, so I can just let my credit build until I want to get a mortgage on a house or finance a car.

Any time you apply for a credit card or loan it will be a hard credit pull(slightly impact your credit score) . However if you make payments on time, those credit pulls will go unnoticed in no time. Don't spend alot on your card , buy gas and other small daily purchases and pay it off every month and you will have excellent credit. If you don't use your credit cards you won't build credit by just having them collect dust

I don't think I've ever seen so many perks get eliminated at the same time like this, its BRUTAL.
At least they gave us a year to adjust. I'm hoping they find other ways to compensate for the annual fee. It puts me in a tough spot, the only reason I stay loyal to AA is because of the 1.6 towards AA flights. Now there's no reason to stay loyal to any airline and It forces me to get other airline cards to waive bag fees which means more $$$.
You can still easily profit with this card especially with the discounted annual fee but losing all these perks blows.
