i've wore the brown desert boots for like the last 5-6 winters, i wear them alot during warm weather as my upstate NY / PA boot when im out there doing woods stuff which is like all i do out there

Wow time flies huh? I remember being in this thread daily back in the day. Finally got a pair of Chocolate 750s last year and I want all of them now. 2016 me would've worn these daily with those hideous zipper pants

750s transitioned so well out of that era. They have a love them or leave them design but if you love them they’re timeless

From what I understand, they were not particularly easy to manufacture (hence the high retail price of the OGs).

Too expensive to produce, plus it got outshined by the OG 350s. Since the 350s became the popular model they stuck with that. Much more money to be made on a knit shoe vs a full suede boot sneaker.

I'm never getting rid of them, they're also in my closet stashed away with all the clothes from that time. Will be fun to look at another decade from now. I still have the first run of the ASSC red flannel. Keep a constant eye on Ebay and just add every pair in decent condition to your watchlist. Filter it by recently sold and you'll see how cheap a lot of pairs actually end up selling for. I got mine worn 1x for retail last year, currently trying to get the OGs and glows for a steal as well
